I am overflowing with JOY because:

This past weekend my Niece Bailey was baptized! She accepted Christ this past summer while attending church camp and was just beside herself so excited to be baptized!


Joanne has had some wonderful and encouraging test results and is starting the process of waking up! God is sooo good isn't HE!


My honey came home from round 1 of the Business trips he has to take. The next one will take him away for a week but we are just so thankful for his job.

The new series we are doing @ Church has been soooo good! It's called QUIT....Quit complaining was this weeks lesson and WOW it is so amazing when you really set your mind to speaking positively. Allowing the Holy Spirit to awaken you to this has been really good! There truly is Life and Death in your tongue!

I am LOVING my IPAD. My most recent love comes from using the Kindle app. I can read any E-books on my IPAD and it is sooo awesome. In Color and they are arranged in Alphabetical order. Soooo Awesome for sure!


My grandbabies will be coming over in the next couple of days and I cannot wait to see them! Since Krista had a C-section she has been staying home and recovering but is doing much better and is ready to get out and about! Sooo.... to Noni and Papa's house they go ♥ PURE JOY :)

Today I will be going to the dentist to get a filling done. While this isn't a joyful thing I guess I can say I AM thankful they found it before it went any further and could have been a root canal right ;) LOL

Yesterday I shared about all the new Fonts we have to choose from....it is too much fun! I just might change it everyday :)

I shared with you all yesterday about my Bible Reading plan. I am reading two plans right now. One of which is the 21 Day fast plan since our church is doing a 21 day fast. The reading was Psalm 119 and the FIRST two verses were about JOY!! Isn't that just too cool! I love it!

I am sooo happy to be able to have Rylee back here with us now that I can lift her and do what a two year old needs to do :) LOL Sooo she spends Monday nights with us and then I have her all day Tuesday and usually Krista will come over after she gets off work and have dinner with us! She is going to have our new baby grandson (Bentley) in 14 MORE days!! JOY JOY JOY!

Wow ~ This will be my last JOY post for this year!! Can you even believe how fast this year has gone? I certainly can't! The Lord has given me soooo much to be joyful about and I just love sharing about HIM and all HE has done from week to week! I am soo glad Angel started this meme all those months ago! I am filled with JOY because:

Rylee got to spend not one but TWO nights with us this week!!

My sweet husband is on vacation this week!

We get to go see my Nana in Missouri and take her out to lunch!

Rylee and Papa (my Dh) spread tons of deercorn out back for the deer to eat. They came up sooo close to the house and OMG did Rylee ever get excited!! It was just precious watching her!!! The deer put on quite the show! Two of them got up on their hind legs and had a little fight ~ it looked like they were boxing !!! Both of their two front legs were going at each other...it was so funny!

I went to Physical Therapy and then to the grocery store while Rylee was @ home with her Papa and Jenna. When I walked through the door, she came RUNNING into my arms, saying NOOOOOONI!!!! I missed you! Can you say...MELT.MY.HEART!

I get to have a date day with my honey today!! WOOHOO!!

Our family signed up to do a FUN RUN on New Years Eve! Something different this year and I am really looking forward to it :)

My DH got me an awesome Nikon for Christmas! I usually use Jenna's and mentioned that when she goes to college I just didn't know what I would do :) My husband surprised the heck out of me!!! That man just blesses me more than words can say! The Lord gave me such a gift when HE gave me Brian!

My Stepmom gave me an IPAD! I am truly my Fathers Daughter when it comes to technology! My friends give me that hardest time but it's ok...I can handle it :) I am a technology freak...oh yes I am! LOL

It's time to Spread the JOY :) This week is just filled with JOY don't you think??!!

For me, JOY IS:

While Hiding in my room wrapping those final gifts my sweet girl Jenna and her boyfriend Ty made dinner for all of us :) What Sweethearts!

The precious way my husband cares for me this week when I have been so tired or my shoulder is killing me from physical therapy. He melts my heart and gives me such JOY

Since Brian is still working this week he has been going to bed at the "Normal" time while the kids and I have enjoyed staying up late but Jenna went to bed early because she took the ACT test on Tuesday morning so that left Jantz and I up. He sat with me in the living room while I was preparing my post and after a bit he says, "Are you getting tired?" I asked "not really, why?" He said "Well, I am sitting with you so you didn't have to be alone and wanted to go upstairs." OMG ~ how precious is that!?!?! He is just so very thoughtful and fills my heart with JOY!!


We had some VERY WARM days here so we took advantage and took our kids and Rylee to see Rhema bible college Christmas Lights. Rhema is famous for their Christmas Light Display. They began in 1982 with 60,000 lights and it has grown each year. This year more than 2 MILLION lights will illuminate the Rhema campus. It is spectacular! They expect more than 200,000 people will come to see all the lights! For me, seeing all the lights and the JOY on my kids faces filled this momma with sooo much JOY Below, are just a few of the pics we took!

I am filled with JOY because we will be going to visit a college campus with jenna this weekend :) OK. I might be forcing the JOY on this one ...just a tad....you know, saying it through clenched teeth ~ I kid I kid! I'm so happy for her and know the Lord will show us right where HE wants to her be!

I am filled with JOY because during church this week the Lord revealed some things to us as a family and I KNOW HE will be Faithful to walk us through them!! Praise HIM!!

I am filled with JOY because I think I have a list for all the gifts I will be purchasing ~ Now, all that's left is the shopping and the wrapping!

I am filled with JOY because our Sweet Rylee came and spent the night with us last night!
She crawled under our tree :) I think she's the best gift God could have given us for sure!!

I am filled with JOY because:

My kids are out of school for the remainder of the week and my Honey is off work too! Woohoo for Family Time!

I took my son lunch on Tuesday. He is an office aide so when I arrived he was working hard and assisting all the parents and students who were in the main office. Since he was sooo busy I told him I would just leave his sandwich and go so as not to interrupt him. He said "No, wait a minute" More and more people came into the office so again I said "Honey, your busy I should go" He helped a few more people and then walked around the counter and gave me the biggest hug and said "Thank you for lunch MOM" Isn't that just Sooo sweet! I just thank the Lord for my kids ~ all 3 of them!!!

When I had my surgery I wasn't able to keep our Grandaughter since I couldn't pick her and do things she needed. She hasn't spent the night since Oct. 15th!! It has broken our hearts and we have missed her so much! But last night she came to spend the night since we are all home!! Oh how we have missed her! Jenna had a fun time making pony tails all over her head! She sat completely still for her too! Isn't she too adorable!

Our Highschool Football team WON the first Play-off Game after 5 (yes FIVE) OVERTIMES!!

This time next week everyone will be off of work and out of school! We will ALL be together preparing for Thanksgiving!! WOOHOO

My dear friend Amy who works @ my Physical Therapy has started herself a blog!! You should go say hello and share some JOY with her!

This will HOPEFULLY be my last week to sleep in my recliner! I can't even BEGIN to express the JOY this brings me!!

While my Stepmom was here I made some Fleece blankets ~ One for my new grandbaby :) One for my Nana for Christmas, and one for home too :) They are soo much fun to make and it gives me such JOY! My daughter made a HUGE one for all the Soccer games she will be working. This will be such a blessing because it gets soooo unbelievably cold at those games! They don't cancel for hardly anything!

Angel hosts Wednesday's meme: Why I count it all JOY and while I was @ the Baby shower last night I saw such JOY on her face as she held her grandbaby and as she talked to all of those who came to bless her Son and Courtney! JOY is just all over her! Isn't it awesome when you see someone do what they say they do!!

Being in the "Thankful" month of November I am thinking how very special my JOY posts will be! If anyone wants to join in go here and link up with Angel @ All the Mus!

I count it all JOY today because I will be going to the Doctor about my shoulder and will hopefully be released to DRIVE!!!

I count it all JOY because my daughter is looking @ colleges and just this past week she felt the Lord drawing her to a Christian College which is only 20 minutes from us! Even though she will most likely be living on campus it is so wonderful knowing this is a possibility! We are all praying and know the Lord will continue to guide and direct her in her choices!

I count it all JOY because Jenna wrote this post on her blog and well, all I can say is my heart spilled over with soo much love and boy did I need the kleenex!!!

I count it all JOY because tonite our Rylee and Krista will be coming over for dinner and to visit NONI & PAPA

I count it all JOY that my Brother is in the 2011 FireFighter Calendar that helps support the Educational Clown Program



He has done some SERIOUS training to get his body in shape! He is amazingly diligent and obedient! My dad was the same way! If you say not to eat sugar or have any caffiene then by golly it is gone...no weaning themselves off of it! They just don't drink or eat it! It's a wonderful trait my brother has! I am certain he got that from our Dad ♥

Joy! Prayers answered! and Phosphates???

This week I am bursting at the seams with JOY! Even though I was a bawl bag a couple of days ago today I am just jumping with JOY !!!! WHY????? well, please let me share .......

I am filled with JOY because ~

Yesterday I asked you guys to pray about me being able to keep the ice machine right! Well, in the comments my bloggy friend Tamara told me she had one sitting in her garage from when she had her rotator cuff surgery!! Seriously ~ sitting in her garage!!
I picked up the phone and called her and well, the ice machine is right beside me at this very moment!!
Thank you Lord!
Thank YOU ALL for you prayers! And Thankyou Tamara!!!

I am filled with JOY because ~

WHEN I was having my melt down about losing my ice machine my Sweet Son went to work! I was sitting in my therapy chair and he asked me "How much time do you have left."..40 min. and then 20 min. later ~ he asked again so when the time came I got off the chair and he said ok....Look what I have for you! He had gone into my closet and gotten one of my vests along with 2 baggies and filled them with ice. He attached them (one in front and one in back) around the shoulder area to my vest and let me tell ya! It was BRILLIANT!! It really did work well! But more than that...it just melted my heart and meant soooo very much!! Isn't that just precious You guys?!?!?!?!

I am filled with JOY because ~

We have had an issue in the McGhee household and maybe you have too? tonight I got a text message from one of my friends asking "Now that dishwashing detergent no longer has phosphates in it what are you all doing? " Because my husband works in the appliance parts industry she thought he might have heard about this and know the solution! What is happening is ....
first, without phosphates the dishes aren't being cleaned as well AND there is a film that is being left on your dishes and dishwasher. Second, if you happen to have black utensils, spatulas or spoons etc., they may have turned WHITE!! That is what happened here in our home! Well, to be honest...my husband was not aware of this phosphate issue and we have been trying to figure out what in the world the problem was because believe you- me......our black utensils are all white and they look AWFUL!!!!!! I am actually having to ask my Mom for new stuff for Christmas because we are seriously having to replace EVERYTHING! IT IS JUST NASTY! So why do you ask that this brings me joy?? Well, because now we have the ANSWER!!! and my husband will find the solution!! WOOHOO!!

My Husband brings me such JOY! He has sooo outdone himself this week and then will be taking care of me after my surgery on Friday....I truly don't know what I would do without HIM! Thank You LORD for my Husband!! He truly loves me and serves me as Christ would have him to!

My oh my what a JOY my friends have been! I can't even tell you how much JOY they bring me! Thank you Lord for the JOY of Friendship!

Thankyou for the Joy in Laughter! I tell ya ~ when Rylee is around, we are all pretty much laughing NON STOP! After dinner last night Jenna decided to stick a spoon on her nose! She thought that was hilarious and well....so did we!



I am so filled with Joy for the gift that blogging has brought into my life! To connect with people all over the world and on such a heart level, to learn from one another and share our hearts and know that they are lined up with in the Lord, brings me such JOY! I just have to say a special thank you to Clif and Charlotte for making my bday so very special! For being such godly mentors and examples and for being such blessed friends! Spreadin the JOY♥

While my husband has been gone this week and Rylee was here we went outside to play and enjoy this wonderful cool weather! Jantzen got out the sidewalk chalk and they went to town. After a little bit I noticed that instead of it going on the sidewalk, they started coloring EACH OTHER!! LOL It is so precious to me watching my children and Rylee together!



My friend Steph was selling Blue&Gold sausage (well, her daughter was) and We LOVE B&G sausage! This year they had quite a variety of new items! One thing my husband wanted was their sausage biscuits and they were sold out but Steph found some for us!! When she delivered them and we took them out of the box ~ this is what they look like! I don't know if it is just me but they just cracked me up!! Those sausage patties are HUGE!!! Just made me laugh!!!


We bought Rylee some cool tub toys and one cool item was colors that she can write on the tub or tile and it washes off. I had them in the shower for her as well. One morning I woke Up and my Sweet Husband had left me a message on the shower door saying I LOVE YOU! Isn't that soooo sweet! I just L♥VE that man!


I was sooo filled with JOY this week when I was able to have coffee/breakfast with Angel and Steph
I know this won't surprise you all AT ALL but as we were checking out the waiter came over and handed us the Lunch menu!! LOL We had been there sooooo long talking, laughing and fellowshipping he just knew we were going to order lunch too!!!

It brings me sooo much joy each week when Rylee and I sing our song.... (this is a song my Nana and my Mom sang to me as a child)

I am filled with JOY because it is my BFF Angel who shares this meme with us each week and she loves to see the JOY in all things! Having Joy-filled friends is such a gift from the LORD!

I am filled with JOY because all the work that we put into the last couple of weeks celebrating birthdays and working on Homecoming finally caught up with me and I fell asleep Monday evening before 10pm and didn't wake up until 10am Tues. morning!! (Nor did I blog) I am so thankful and filled with JOY that my husband was sooo sweet to let me rest!!

I am filled with JOY because I found a recipe on a new blog that I was dying to try out but my DH beat me to it and OH MY GOODNESS you guys.....these are to die for!!! They are called "Muffins that taste like donuts"

I am filled with JOY when Rylee walks up and grabs my leg, squeezes it sooo tight and says "Awww Noni" Such sweet sweet JOY

I am filled with JOY because now that school has started my sweet boy loves to read and asks me to go read with him just before bed time!

I got that Joy Joy Joy Joy down in my heart......WHERE?? down in my heart ...... WHERE? down in my heart to STAY!!

On Monday it was an Insane day running EVERYWHERE and I got home REALLY late, obviously Having not cooked dinner for my family BUT my SWEET and OH SO WONDERFUL Husband had dinner waiting on ME!!!! Grilled Halibut, baked potatoes, garlic-cheese biscuits...YUM

It was such a JOY to be making these Homecoming posters that will be on the sides of the car while Jenna is being driven down Main Street in the Homecoming Parade. Brian, Jenna & I all worked together making them while Rylee sat in her highchair and colored! JOY JOY JOY


It was such a JOYFUL occasion to find a package @ our front door! My friend Bernie@ OnMyOwn is from Canada and I have shared how VERY MUCH my Son LOVES Canada!! Welllllll ~ Bernie sent Jantz a Canadian Calendar!! Isn't she AWESOME!! Thanks again Bernie for bringing both of us SUCH JOY!!


Today was absolutely Gorgeous outside! It didn't appear as though it would be. It started out raining and dreary but this afternoon it all cleared off and OH MY! It was heavenly. So Rylee and Brian AKA "Papa" went out back and jumped on the trampoline together!!! It just brings me such JOY to see them play & laugh together!!!


Ok get this .....I know I am almost 44! I know I am getting older but seriously when I got an AARP notice to sign up for in the mail I was a little taken back! I mean seriously ???? We got a big kick out of it and nothing says JOY like having a good belly laugh with your Honey! Because believe me ....HE gave me a REALLY HARD TIME ABOUT IT!! ;)

This has just been a Joyfilled week I must say!! Let me share why I am filled with JOY ~

Because No matter where I go I am NEVER alone ~ God is ALWAYS by my side! JOY Unspeakable

Even though my husband had to go out of town unexpectedly for the whole week I was able to spend some Sweet Quality time with him and even have a lunch date @ a new restaurant before he left town :) ♥ Pure JOY

My sweet boy Jantzen held my face in his hands and said "Mom, do you know how much I love and appreciate you?" Oh my! Sweet Sweet JOY!

Rylee is quite the talker! Yesterday she was sitting in her high chair coloring while I was cleaning up the kitchen & out of the blue she says" I love you Noni"....sniff sniff....She said it without me saying it first!!! Melted my heart completely!! Precious JOY I tell ya Just PRECIOUS

Last night was my daughter's VERY LAST open house EVER @ her school. We were walking through the halls and my Sweet Jenna grabs my hand to hold it!!! I am sooo blessed! I had other Moms stop me and say, "why is your daughter walking around with you? Mine wouldn't come because they don't want to be seen with me?" Isn't that sooo sad! Here my daughter ASKED me to go and not only came with me but she's holding my hand while walking around :):) EXTREME JOY!!

Thursday we get to go out to dinner with my Mom and Stepdad! Yay!! It is always tooo much fun when we are all able to go out for the evening! Papa (my stepdad, but Papa to the kids) doesn't always get to join us so when he does ~ it is such a treat!!!

We have a Holiday weekend coming up and well, those always bring me JOY! How about you? What has brought you JOY this week???

This week Joy is in my heart because ~

The temperature has dropped considerably! I was able to go out and swing with Rylee for a good long while! This brought both of us JOY

With School starting last week, we are finally getting into a routine and that always brings me JOY

Last night we went to Jantzen's Open House @ his school. I met all of his teachers and am so happy because they all seem to be just wonderful! He is thrilled with each one and that fills me with JOY

Very soon we will learn if we will be having a new Grand ~daughter or a Grand ~ Son ♥ THIS brings me exceeding JOY


My husband, My daughter and I are all reading or listening to the exact same book! That is too much fun and brings me JOY I L♥VE to talk about the book I am reading for sure! :)

When God speaks to me it typically will be in everything I am doing ~ sermons I hear, books I read, emails I receive! Does this happen to you? It brings me such JOY that the LORD cares that much for me to make sure I get all HE has for me!

I am filled with JOY

because yesterday we woke up to Lightning, Thunder and Rain! Oh ya, and MUCH cooler temps! We seriously needed the rain! Rylee and I went outside and just sat on the porch listening to the storm! It was sooo peaceful! I loved watching her face when it would thunder and how she snuggled up to me for protection! Sweet JOY indeed

It was the last day of summer as well yesterday ~ well, as far as school goes....So since it was raining outside Jenna decided to build a tent :) Rylee thought it was sooo much fun and boy did it bring back the memories of when the kids were little

My son is just the sweetest young man! He is full of L♥VE and has given me sooo many hugs these past few days because he says "I will be at school and won't be able to give you as many hugs!" Joy to the brim I say!

My kids are starting school and while this does NOT bring me JOY LOL ~ I am choosing to be joyful knowing the Lord has wonderful things in store for this new school year!

I am filled with JOY because I have the sweetest husband ever! While we were in Florida a big group of guys and some wives played golf. My sweet husband was asked countless times why he wasn't playing ~ He said, "I can play golf any ol' time, but I'm not here alone in Florida with my wife every day!" Awww ~ Sooo sweet and pure joy to my heart!

I am filled with JOY because Angel is coming home SOON and I miss her so much! I can't wait to catch up with her!!

I am filled with JOY because even though I left the arms of my honey I came home to the arms of all 3 of my kids and the sweet loving arms of my grandbaby! Plus, I was also met at the airport by the most wonderful loving arms of my Momma! I am sooo very very blessed!

I am filled with JOY because I came home to such a clean house AND all the laundry was done! can I get an AMEN on that one!!! PURE JOY :) Thanks Krista!! :)

I am filled with JOY ~ even though my daughter is going to be a Senior this year, she asked me to go with her to her enrollment! Yes, I shed a few tears and can't believe it is her Final year of school but her wanting and still needing me gives me such JOY!!


I am filled with JOY because I hope to be catching up with all of you real soon!!! I have missed everyone so much and look forward to spending time reading what is going on in your lives!!


I am filled with JOY because I have some new and OH SO COMFY pajamas that my Mom got me & since I write my posts at night and schedule them for the next day.....I am off to catch some zzzzzzzzz's

I am filled with JOY watching the Love of my Life spend time with our grand-daughter doing what Papa's do....sharing those special candies one at a time so she won't get choked, pushing her on the swing for as long as she wants despite the heat, holding hands as they walk even if it is just down the hallway in the house, puting her to sleep as he strokes her face ever so gently, having to leave for work and knowing it is breaking his heart because she wants her Papa to hold her just a bit longer! Oh the love of a grandchild ♥

I am filled with JOY because in just a few more days we will be on a plane together to spend some time alone in Florida! Just the two of us :) Oh what JOY♥

I am filled with JOY because I am blessed to be a stay at home MOM. To be able to spend these days with my children is a gift and a blessing the I DO NOT take for granted! True JOY for sure ♥

I am filled with JOY that I won an autographed copy of one of my new favorite authors most recent books! It comes out in October and I was also able to participate in the cover choice! The cover I (along with many others) chose won :) 2 wins in 1!! JOY JOY JOY ♥

I am filled with JOY because my friend Sandy got a job yesterday! We had been praying and after she didn't receive one position she applied for she pressed on believing and praying and the Lord provided!!! Such JOY and Praise ♥

Love can be in a kind act
Love can be in sharing a kind word
but for me.....this week Love was Listening

Listiening to those I love share about their day, their joys and sorrows, their need and prayers requests, their excitement and laughter

I was granted to gift of being listened to as well....by my friends who care what is happening in my life, by my husband who loves me and wants to know my heart, by my children who seek (at times) words of wisdom

and most importantly Listening to the Lord
His Word speaks Life
His creation ~ Owls hooting early in the morning, insects playing their symphony late at night
His Spirit speaks and I am blessed when I listen
