Joy is ~

Angel hosts Wednesday's meme: Why I count it all JOY and while I was @ the Baby shower last night I saw such JOY on her face as she held her grandbaby and as she talked to all of those who came to bless her Son and Courtney! JOY is just all over her! Isn't it awesome when you see someone do what they say they do!!


Joy is:

spending time with my daughter Jenna just talking to one another after school
the hugs from my sweet Son and hearing I love you MOM
receiving a text from friends asking "HOW are you doing?"

my brother calling just to chat :)

laughing on the phone with my mom til we snort!!! ;)

above all these ~ JOY is the peace I have in knowing the Lord loves me and is with me in ALL I do leading me each and every moment!

This and That Tuesday

Well, I am soo happy to report that I did NOT cry @ Physical Therapy yesterday WOOHOO! Because I am going to Physical Therapy 3 weeks earlier than I did last time I will spend the next 4 week doing very gentle stretching and then at the end of the 4 weeks they will begin the VERY AGGRESSIVE stuff! So, I was worried for nothing!! I tell ya....the Lord has just shown HIMSELF soo wonderfully and it is a wonder that I am not just on my face praising HIM all the time!!

Tonite I will be going to Angels grandbaby's baby shower! He wasn't suppose to be here until the end of Nov. but God had other plans :) Baby Showers are way more fun when the babies are there aren't they!! I CANNOT wait to snuggle little Slaid ♥

A friend of mine just got back from Hawaii and she got me some KONA Coffee which is my ALL TIME FAVORITE COFFEE!! I will be seeing her today and retrieve my heavenly bag of beans!! I can just taste it now!! YUM!!!

Looking Ahead and Winner Announced :)

What an exciting weekend this has been! I just LOVE when we get that extra hour of sleep don't you :)

Last week I was able to go and work @ my husbands company doing inventory and earning some Christmas money!! Woohoo! I have done this in the past but this year Jenna and Jantzen were able to go earn some money of their own PLUS we got to work together! We had a really good time and I loved watching them as they worked!

On Friday afternoon I got a text from Angel letting me know that her new grandson would be making his debut anytime :) I was soo excited and knew she was beside herself excited!! Here are some pics ....Isn't he sooo Precious!!








My stepmom will be coming to spend some time here this weekend. She will be staying with me so we spent some time this weekend preparing for her visit here. We are going to be placing my Dads Headstone on Sunday. It will no doubt be an emotional time!

I begin Physical Therapy this afternoon! I am praying I won't be in tears like I was last time! My Physical Therapy team is just such a wonderful group of girls!!! I got soooo close to them last time, so I am truly looking forward to being with them even if they do cause me pain LOL

I got the Pioneer Woman's cookbook and my husband made her cinnamon rolls! OH MY GOODNESS!!! You cannot even imagine how DIVINE they are! Seriously, the BEST cinnamon rolls I have ever eaten! If you haven't ever read her blog, you need to! She is an amazing woman, mom, homeschool mom, photographer, and chef! She lives here in OK too :) Most of her recipes are on her blog!

Spiritual Sundays

thoughts from a girl who experienced it
Mascara streamed down my face. I was an emotional wreck. Sitting at the gate I watched the plane pull out onto the tarmac. Earbuds in, I sobbed. The dam holding back my tears exploded.

Clearly, my emotions got the best of me. I watched a man I had just met board a plane and fly home to his family, as I was stranded overnight in the airport. My connection flight home had left right as my current flight landed, causing me to become stranded nine hours in the airport, waiting for my new flight.

I sat down in the food court to eat some dinner. Prayers spiraling up to heaven, my burdened heart unloaded. I needed to see God in this moment, especially since I am afraid of being in unknown places. Panic seized me. What if I was not safe?

A pilot sat down in the booth next to me. Eating his dinner he struck up a conversation. Since the news of my dreaded sleepover had not quite set in I was still numb to the situation. I shared with him my circumstances and asked him how long he had been flying. The conversation continued and there it was: a God moment.

The pilot told me that I was safe in the airport. He pointed out the security team and proceeded to talk about where I could sleep to remain safe, giving voice to exactly what I had prayed about! He continued to touch on things I had sent up to God in my prayers, out of fear. It was like this man could see my heart. We continued talking and I shared my heart for ministry. And then he told me he had been a pastor for ten years.

Smiling, the pilot got up to leave and said to me "I never sit in the food court. In my years of flying I have always eaten at the gate. We must have had a divine appointment. Rest tonight in the reality that you are safe with Him."

Jeremiah 29:13-14 says, "Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart."

God is in the business of listening to and answering prayers, sometimes in ways that we least expect it. In a moment when I felt abandoned and alone, He was there.

Have you ever had a moment where you clearly saw God's faithfulness? Can you recall a time when He gave you "a God moment" to sustain you? I love that he is waiting. He is waiting to hear from you. I am convinced he loves to reveal Himself to His children. Wait and see.

Psalm 57:9-11
I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;

Being in the "Thankful" month of November I am thinking how very special my JOY posts will be! If anyone wants to join in go here and link up with Angel @ All the Mus!

I count it all JOY today because I will be going to the Doctor about my shoulder and will hopefully be released to DRIVE!!!

I count it all JOY because my daughter is looking @ colleges and just this past week she felt the Lord drawing her to a Christian College which is only 20 minutes from us! Even though she will most likely be living on campus it is so wonderful knowing this is a possibility! We are all praying and know the Lord will continue to guide and direct her in her choices!

I count it all JOY because Jenna wrote this post on her blog and well, all I can say is my heart spilled over with soo much love and boy did I need the kleenex!!!

I count it all JOY because tonite our Rylee and Krista will be coming over for dinner and to visit NONI & PAPA

I count it all JOY that my Brother is in the 2011 FireFighter Calendar that helps support the Educational Clown Program



He has done some SERIOUS training to get his body in shape! He is amazingly diligent and obedient! My dad was the same way! If you say not to eat sugar or have any caffiene then by golly it is gone...no weaning themselves off of it! They just don't drink or eat it! It's a wonderful trait my brother has! I am certain he got that from our Dad ♥

Updates for you!

I did a post in regards to our dishwasher problem and how everything was turning white! We learned that dishwashing detergent no longer has phospates in it. Well, since then my husband has done alot of research as to how we would remedy this problem!
Alot of you have asked and inquired about this as well! Here is what we have done: We basically made our own detergent:

1/2 c. Borax
1/2 c. Washing Soda
1/4 c. citric acid
1/4 c. Kosher salt

Use only 1 Tablespoon per load

My Ice machine!!

OH MY GOSH you guys! God is soooo GOOD! MY sweet husband talked to the man responsible for my ice machine quite a few times and OH how the LORD heard yours and our prayers!! He told us that I get to keep my ice machine for 3 weeks and get this...FOR NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE!!!! Isn't God SOOOOOO GOOD!!


Today we will get out and vote! It is the first year the my sweet Jenna gets to vote! She is pumped!

Time Flies

It is hard to believe that 13 yrs ago on Halloween this was our precious family ~



and now all these years later.... All grown up!

As I began praying and speaking with the Lord for Spiritual Sundays this week The words You are my All in All came to my mind and heart immediately! I have been so humbled by the Lords Love and Provision this week. His Presence has been something I truly can't describe. I know that when I am up and about living "life" that I have my time with the Lord but having been down because of this surgery has allowed me so much more! So much more quiet time. So much more ability to SEE Gods hand and all that HE does in me and for me. So much more time with the Holy Spirit and HIS Word! So much of HIM in my conversations, in my reading, He is truly in everything!!! I am just at a place....to be forever on my face before HIM praising HIM, worshiping our Father for HE truly is my ALL IN ALL!



I pray you all have a blessed weekend and may you experience the Lord in a powerful way! He truly is your ALL IN ALL you know!

College Interview ~ TGIF

This week at school has been Red Ribbon Week and so each day the kids dress up according to the various themed days.....

Thursday @ the High School was Miss Match day. My daughter dressed up in

2 different colored boots
2 different colored pair of tights
A black skirt
and an OSU shirt (which stands for Oklahoma State University)

During her 2nd hour she received a note asking her to come to the counselors office. She immediately knew what she was being summoned for....A college interview! Which college? It was for Tulsa University NOT
Oklahoma State University

So not only was she mismatched in every way imaginable she had on a different college's shirt! So what do you think the first question she got asked was?????

So, what other colleges are you looking at???

She wanted to crawl in a whole LOLOL but Oh well, she rolled with it cause that is just how my girl is! I love her ♥ yes I do
