I shared with you all yesterday about my Bible Reading plan. I am reading two plans right now. One of which is the 21 Day fast plan since our church is doing a 21 day fast. The reading was Psalm 119 and the FIRST two verses were about JOY!! Isn't that just too cool! I love it!


Joyful are people of integrity,
who follow the instructions of the Lord.
Joyful are those who obey his laws
and search for him with all their hearts


I am sooo happy to be able to have Rylee back here with us now that I can lift her and do what a two year old needs to do :) LOL Sooo she spends Monday nights with us and then I have her all day Tuesday and usually Krista will come over after she gets off work and have dinner with us! She is going to have our new baby grandson (Bentley) in 14 MORE days!! JOY JOY JOY!

Reading Plans ~ Got one?

LifeChurch.TV is an Amazing Church. Craig Groeschel is an amazing Pastor. Besides being an amazing man of God as well as an amazing Author and Teacher he has created an online Bible Reading tool that allows us to have Gods Word at our Fingertips at any time of the day! Not only can you read Gods Word but you can CHOOSE a reading plan that best suits you! Or if you want to add in a reading plan for a further in depth study you can do that as well! There are apps for your cell phone, IPad, Nook, Kindle you name it pretty much you can download it :)

I know for me, If I don't have a plan it is far too easy to get off track and I hate that! With YouVersion you can keep notes, or email a verse to someone if you feel the Lord prompting you to share HIs Word with them! You can even Hi-lite a verse for yourself if you want to, isn't that AWESOME!!

It's a New Day er I mean Year

Happy New Year Everyone ♥ Can you even believe it's January and 2010 is GONE!?!?!






WE had such a great week with my Honey at home and the kids out of school. Spent time with Rylee, Got to go see my Nana and eat at one of the best chili houses in America!! Fred & Reds is a TINY whole in the wall restaraunt. It has a U shaped barstool seating that holds about 10 on the sides and 6 across the end. When you walk in, you scan the bar to see who looks close to being done and you literally stand behind them til they are done and get up. If you walk in with a group, don't count on sitting together because the chances are very unlikely that you will! At times you will run into nice people who notice you are with someone and might just offer to scoot down one or two depending on how many are in your group and how many just got up! But the FOOD!! OH my! Spaghetti Red ~ Spaghetti or some may know it as "three way" spaghetti with chili! YUM! The restaurant started in 1923 but moved to its current location back in 1943 and hasn't changed much since then! When either of my parents would go home to visit their parents we would almost ALWAYS end up in Joplin having lunch @ Fred & Reds! So of course, in honor of my Daddy we had to go! My 90 yr. old nana sat up @ the bar, had herself a burger and enjoyed it as much as we did. I can remember going with her parents ~ My wonderful and oh how I miss them ~ Great grandparents "Mama Fay and Floyd" Truly, I have been going since I was a just a wee one ;) It brings such wonderful memories and the food well, it is DIVINE!

We got all our decorations taken down and the Christmas lights will be off the house today. We went to a movie, shopped (had to spend some of the gift cards ya know!) slept in, stayed up late! We "raced into the New Year" on New Years Eve. As the week ended and the year came to a close, we spent some time reflecting on this past year and sharing our hearts with one another as we look ahead to what God has in store for 2011.

Yes, I could share a long list of Resolutions.....but in the end it really isn't what I want to accomplish. It is what God wants to accomplish through me. So as we begin this year I pray that all I do will bring Glory & Honor to the Lord. That no matter what, in my trials and in my victories, they were God ordained. As Jesus said in Matthew 26 beginning in V.24

Then Jesus went to work on his disciples. "Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You're not in the driver's seat; I am. Don't run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I'll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self. What kind of deal is it to get everything you want but lose yourself? What could you ever trade your soul for?

"Don't be in such a hurry to go into business for yourself. Before you know it the Son of Man will arrive with all the splendor of his Father, accompanied by an army of angels. You'll get everything you have coming to you, a personal gift. This isn't pie in the sky by and by. Some of you standing here are going to see it take place, see the Son of Man in kingdom glory."

HAPPY NEW YEAR ~ Spiritual Sundays "A Clean Slate"

I have thoroughly enjoyed a book(daily devotional) I received for review recently. It is Billy Graham's Unto the Hills ~ A daily devotional. I just had to share today's devotion with all of you.

A CLEAN SLATE

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10

Did you ever have the experience in a school of erasing an entire blackboard? When the slate has been wiped clean, it is as if nothing at all had ever been written on it.

This is what God does for us when we come to HIM confessing our sin. First John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

How many tmes in your life have you wished you could start all over again with a clean slate, with a new life? Resolve right now to allow God to wipe your slate clean by confessing your sins and letting HIM give you a brand-new start.

The apostle Paul did this when he said, "Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus" Phillipians 3:13-14 RSV


Our Father and our God, I come to YOU conscious of my sins and failures but confident in YOUR Love and Mercy toward me. Thank you for giving Your wonderful grace and forgiveness to me and for wiping the slate of my life totally clean. Let me start all over with YOU and live in YOUR purpose for my life, now and forever, through Jesus Christ my Savior. Amen.

Happy New Year to all of you! I pray this New Year will be one in which you experience the Lord in ALL you do. He Loves and Adores each one of you.

Wow ~ This will be my last JOY post for this year!! Can you even believe how fast this year has gone? I certainly can't! The Lord has given me soooo much to be joyful about and I just love sharing about HIM and all HE has done from week to week! I am soo glad Angel started this meme all those months ago! I am filled with JOY because:

Rylee got to spend not one but TWO nights with us this week!!

My sweet husband is on vacation this week!

We get to go see my Nana in Missouri and take her out to lunch!

Rylee and Papa (my Dh) spread tons of deercorn out back for the deer to eat. They came up sooo close to the house and OMG did Rylee ever get excited!! It was just precious watching her!!! The deer put on quite the show! Two of them got up on their hind legs and had a little fight ~ it looked like they were boxing !!! Both of their two front legs were going at each other...it was so funny!

I went to Physical Therapy and then to the grocery store while Rylee was @ home with her Papa and Jenna. When I walked through the door, she came RUNNING into my arms, saying NOOOOOONI!!!! I missed you! Can you say...MELT.MY.HEART!

I get to have a date day with my honey today!! WOOHOO!!

Our family signed up to do a FUN RUN on New Years Eve! Something different this year and I am really looking forward to it :)

My DH got me an awesome Nikon for Christmas! I usually use Jenna's and mentioned that when she goes to college I just didn't know what I would do :) My husband surprised the heck out of me!!! That man just blesses me more than words can say! The Lord gave me such a gift when HE gave me Brian!

My Stepmom gave me an IPAD! I am truly my Fathers Daughter when it comes to technology! My friends give me that hardest time but it's ok...I can handle it :) I am a technology freak...oh yes I am! LOL


We laughed, we sang,

~ Lemi Shine~ Some really awesome stuff!

A couple of months ago I shared with you all about my dishes not looking clean even after washing them in the dishwasher. Not only were they not clean, they had a white film on them! It was GROSS!! I literally had to get rid of most if not all of my cooking utensils and replace some of the plastic ware we had.

We found out at the time that the automatic dishwashing detergent no longer had phosphates in them....which basically boosted the performance of the cleaning agents. So, that left us, the consumer with less than clean dishes and for some, a white yucky film.

My husband did some research and then he decided to create a concoction of our own. It didn't take long for me to decide this wasn't much better. He decided to go to Home Depot and purchase phosphates and add it to the dishwashing powder that no longer had them in there. (it didn't take much either!) This has worked out pretty good

BUT .......

I am here to tell you about LEMI - SHINE! My Mom got us some for Christmas ~ yes Christmas! LOL and OMG ....This stuff is UH MA ZING!! You add it in the dishwasher along with your regular detergent and WOW oh WOW ....Talk about clean dishes! No white stuff. No film. Just clean dishes......bright and shiny clean dishes! It is also environmentally safe :)

This makes me so happy :p

So there ya have it... LOL....I am pretty sure they sell it @ Target and Walmart. This is NOT a review, nor am I being paid to share this information ;) Just sharin some good stuff with my fellow bloggers whom I Love dearly! ♥

Blessed Beyond Measure

I pray everyone had a Joy-filled Christmas. We sure did! I enjoyed every bit of it ~ from the craziness of getting everything done, wrapped, cooked and cleaned, to the quiet moments with my family sitting around the Fire, reading the Word about the Birth of our Savior. Passing our Bible around so that each one of us could read a passage and Praising the Lord together for all HE has done for us! It was such a blessed time, a Christmas I will cherish in my heart always.

Rylee, Krista & Casey were with us on Christmas Eve. Poor Rylee wasn't feeling very good but she didn't let anything stop her from enjoying the afternoon. :) She is at that adorable age and since she just celebrated her 2nd birthday she has been opening ALOT of presents! I love that no matter what gift she opens she LOVES it! She is either saying "Thankyou" or "It's so peeety" aka "It's so pretty" or sometimes you might get a "That's so awesome" :) That one gets a laugh from all of us every single time!



Christmas Day we were at my Moms house and we were all sporting our Christmas hats! Remember I shared with you all that my mom asked us to don some sort of Christmas hat?! Well, Not one person disappointed her! I have to say My brother had the best hat of all! He "decked" it out himself! If you look close enough you can see he had Lights on his hat and YES they were blinking too!!! He didn't know I was taking this pic tho :)LOL

When I asked my DH if he would wear an Elves hat....His reply was "Honey, I'll wear whatever you want me to" WOOHOO! Little did he know what I had in my hand to purchase for him LOL He was true to his word and wore it proudly!! Oh, how I love my man ♥



My Mother always makes everything so very special. No matter what the holiday, or even if we are over just to have dinner ~ everything has her "special touch" Here she is with her Grandkids ~ minus Krista. They all LOVE their Nanny sooo much ♥ and well, SO DO I! Thank you MOM, for making Christmas soo very Special !!! xoxo



It was a day filled with L♥VE, Laughter, and Joy as we celebrated the birth of Jesus. We had a delicious dinner, opened gifts and then played a hilarious round of "Catch Phrase" My oh My did we laugh and laugh!!

Truly, I am Blessed Beyond Measure
