Top Ten for Tuesday

1) Rylee arrived last night and brought us sooo much laughter yet again! Isn't it just the most precious thing watching a sweet baby fall off to sleep!! Jenna was able to rock her to sleep last night and it was just soooo sweet! Praise you Father

2) This weekend is PROM!!! Can you say....BUSY!!! Jen has asked us to serve dinner to her & her boyfriend, along with 2 other couples here at our home
We will be serving ~
Shrimp cocktail as the Appetizer
Dinner will be Steak, Baked Potato, Green bean bundles along with a House Salad
Desert will be Chocolate Heaven

After prom we will be having a Progressive Afterprom Party ~ They will go Glow bowling from 12 -2 am then to one house for games 2-3 am, then indoor swimming at another house 3-4 am and then back here to our house 5 am for an outdoor movie and Breakfast! We will put up a big screen and projector in our back yard for them to watch hopefully the video they took of their night! They are going to have a Blast!! Watch over them Lord ~ Please

3) I got 3, yes THREE new books in the mail yesterday to review :) Don't think I will be starting those this week ;) Help me Lord to use my time wisely

4) I had a friend come over for a visit and we prayed together. I felt the Lord lift so much pain and grief! Thank you Lord for loving me sooo much and bringing me into a New Season

5) Had the BEST session to date at Physical Therapy yesterday :) Thank you Lord!

6) I have a bloggy friend who has been on an amazing journey with the Lord in Jerusalem! It has been sooo powerful and exciting to see all HE has done in and through her and can't wait to hear more and more! Please pray for her as she travels home today!! Thank you Lord for all you have Provided, Anointed and the Breakthroughs have only just begun! We Praise you Father!

7) I love being able to sit with my precious Rylee on my lap and read to her ♥
I cherish these days Lord, thank you

8) Going to go for a walk in the beautiful sunshine today and work out in my front flower bed! Thank you Lord for your beautiful creation and beauty in all of the wonderful flowers! Such Joy and Wonder you have provided for us!

9) 6 weeks of school left!!!! BRING ON SUMMER :) Thankyou Lord for the different seasons you give us!

10) I pray everyone has a blessed Tuesday! Give a special Touch today Father to each person who reads these words, YOU and YOU alone know what each one needs, their hopes, their hurts, their circumstances .... Meet them right where they are LORD! Praise YOU!

Celebrating my Honey

Saturday was my DH's birthday. We had a fun morning and afternoon together and then our oldest daughter and family joined us for dinner. Sadly, my Mom and Stepdad were out of town so they couldn't come over. Normally, on anyones birthday we have a house full but in this case I think it was just as it should be. Just our kids and our precious grandbaby ♥

We had my husbands famous "salsa burgers" and his famous quacamole and salsa! OOOO LA LA! He is such an AWESOME cook and well, I offered to cook for him but the kids wanted him to make dinner and to be honest ~ It pleases him so much for him to cook them their favorite, even if it is his bday and he should have the day off :) He is so sweet that way!

We got him an IPAD....HE loves it! Thank you all for so many of you wishing him a happy birthday on Facebook! It just means so very much to experience not only your prayers but your love and friendship! You are just amazing friends! I love you so much!

I have to say a Happy Birthday to my friend Darcie who shares the exact birthday as my husband :0) No wonder I love you so much!! I hope you had a wonderful birthday and you were spoiled rotten!

ITS A PARTY

You know.....I would say I was late most of the time but WOW this is really late! LOL This party started over a week ago and ends tomorrow but HEY ~ I'm here :)

Let me say ~ I am sooo happy to have you visit "The Magoos News" I am a Mom to 3 WONDERFUL kids! Although they would not like that term "kids" they will always be my babies :) Our oldest, Krista, is married to Casey and does hair. She blessed us with Rylee our Precious Grandaughter a little over a year ago!








Then there is Jen. Our Athletic Trainer. She is our Princess :) She is a blogger herself and has such a beautiful heart! She has an incredible eye like her Father for Photography and such compassion for people! I can't wait to see where the Lord leads her in these next few years!



Our youngest is Jantz. He is growing up so quickly and is just the sweetest young man you will meet! He is full of humor and loves to learn just like his Father and GrandFather! He has his own company making dog treats and has done so well! He recently purchased himself a Mac and now has his eye on an IPAD :)





My wonderful husband and I have been married 20 years this May! I could never express how blessed I am to be married to Brian. We have grown over these years in ways that only the Lord could do. Transforming us in HIS ways, teaching, pruning, breaking off generational things and growing us closer to HIM and to each other! I love him more now than I did when we first dated and look forward to many long years together! As our children grow and prepare for lives on their own, I pray we have done all the Lord desires for us do..... teaching them to Live Lives that glorify HIM. I cherish each new season that I am blessed with and to walk beside my Best friend. Where ever he is.... that is HOME.

Spiritual Sundays

Oh how I LOVE it when the Lords teaches me a lesson and does in such a tangible way!

Today for Spiritual Sunday I wanted to just have a simple little picture with a Scripture that you see above. As I sought to find something I liked on the Internet it just wasn't happening. The pictures that I found were copyrighted and not able to copy onto my blog so I thought hmmm, I guess I can just take a picture and do it myself. Then my husband got involved taking pictures, and then my daughter started snapping photos too. She is the one who has Photoshop knowledge and like her daddy, has an AMAZING photographic eye! But here is the lesson along the way.....We were ALSO doing all the tasks that come with a Saturday....laundry, cleaning here and there, and also puting up some new "Uppercase Living" things that I had gotten in a couple of weeks ago. So this "simple post" became quite the involved post to say the least!
Our projects DID NOT go as planned and even became a little frustrating at times when the Uppercase started taking the paint OFF THE WALL!! Then as my daughter was asking me which Scripture I wanted to go with the picture I yelled it to her from the laundry room to the living room and I just had to laugh! Isn't God just sooo wonderful how HE ever so gently nudges you and says...."AHEM, Loren, are you glorifying me right now?" So, here I am sharing my SIMPLE little picture LOL. Thankyou Lord for keeping me on such a short leash!! Also, I am ever so thankful for my family who all jumped in to help me and we all learned even more about this Scripture today :)

Thankful Thursday ~ God corrects

Have you ever heard this before?

"if you don't do what God is asking of you....HE will move on and find someone else to do it and YOU will miss out on the blessing?"

I have, and to be honest ~ I have even "felt" as if others had be blessed for what I should have done in the first place. But, isn't it true that.....

God is patient

God is kind

God is good

How then would a good, kind and patient person say "Well then, if they aren't going to do it then I will just find someone else to do this and they will be blessed instead of you?" Notice I said person....not God

Sometimes I think we Humanize our Heavenly Father to the point that we think HE will do what we might do. Our flesh and human minds would definately tend to be impatient with those who aren't listening or doing things as we think they should or in the timely manner that they should so it would only make sense that we would find someone else to do the task.

If we think about it....the Word tells us Gods is ALWAYS WITH US....HE NEVER LEAVES US, so even when we have turned away or may be in a season of allowing the world to pull us its direction instead of the heavenly eternal road we should be walking, God is still there patiently waiting and allowing us to make those choices, those mistakes. When we turn our hearts back to HIM and repent HE is always there waiting and as HIS word tells us HE will turn what the enemy meant for harm into good ~ He will complete what HE began in us.....

His Word will not return void, His Work in us will not GO TO someone else if it is meant for us! HE loves and adores us and yes we may face consequences, but the journey to each blessing HE has waiting for us is a gift in itself that HE longs to share each and every day. He corrects us because HE loves us!
