For Today...

Outside my window... dark, cloudy and rain rain rain

I am thinking... How much the Lord has spoken to me today....refreshing me and saying "I am with you, I love you and I love your Dad. I will be with all of you, trust ME and walk with ME."

I am thankful for... the Lord and His love, my family and my friends here on this blog and back home who give me so much love and support and prayer warriors....OH MY!

From the kitchen... Dad says "We have never eaten so good" They are very appreciative of my cooking and I can even see Gods hand in me "planning meals" 6 months ago and how that has been such a gift while being here

I am wearing... jean shorts, black tank top

I am reading... the Word

I am hoping... that my brother and I can work through some very difficult issues that have come up

I am praying... Gods will be done and that I trust HIM everyday knowing He is in control

Around the house... taking care of horses is a new thing for me but I am truly enjoying it, I am loving mowing and so proud of my kids who continue to be so willing to do whatever is needed and are thankful to be here with their PAPA

One of my favorite things... seeing the transformation literally before my eyes of my Dads relationship with the LORD. It is more than I could have ever imagined! I am humbled and blessed to see this wonderful relationship form and grow!

A few plans for the rest of the week... Mayo tomorrow and dad will make the final decision as to whether he is going to do both chemo and radiation. I told him I would pray for complete clarity in his decision. Thursday is his last brain radiation and then we will see what happens from there and when the new treatment begins. Will Dad be able to visit his mom.....stay tuned.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

This is Dad and I on the 4th of July. I had a mouth full of apple cobbler and my sweet daughter wasn't patient enough to let me SWALLOW :) before snapping this photo. OH WELL...it was a wonderful evening for us as a family!

Was the pic "photoshopped"? 'coz can't tell that your mouth had apple cobbler. :)

That is a great pic of you and your dad! I know that every second is a blessing sister!

When I first got home after flying for 13 hours, riding in a car for 2 something hours, to visit my ailing dad, families surrounding him were amazed to see him lift his arms and wrapped them around me. I treasured that so much. I always laid down next to my dad and hugged him the whole 2 weeks I was there with my brothers to see him. I barely slept but my time with him was all worth it!

So, to see you and your dad had a wonderful 4th, I am happy for you! And I will continue to keep you and your dad in my prayers for the Lord to give him healing so you can have more July 4th together.

Love you in Christ sister. I hope you are also getting some rest! BTW, give your thanks to the Lord, not me. He is the One Who deserves all our thanks and praises. But you don't need to thank me. We are sisters in Christ.

You look beautiful.

Dearest Loren,

I just read through the last few posts. I am amazed at your father's faith and I he looks wonderful in this picture.

My friend, I am praying for your dad and your entire family as you go through this process, but your faith, your dad's faith and your family's are strong and it sounds like God is covering all of you with much of His unfailing grace.

I know how difficult it can be, especially when doctor's give you a timeline for life. They did that with my dad as well, and when we heard it, we were all shocked. As your dad said below, enjoy every day and that is exactly what we all should do whether we are ill or not.

You are such a sweetheart. You are doing an excellent job Loren, an excellent job. It can be very trying though, in the hours when you have time by yourself, I was a caregiver too, but you are staying in His Word, praying and He is with you and covering you with His grace and giving you strength. Thy will be done, Yes, you are trusting the Lord and it is all in His control. To be able to see your father literally transform before your very eyes, is beautiful, isn't it? I'm not there, but I can just see and feel that.

God is speaking to you and you are being still and hearing Him. How wonderful is that at such a time as this? All will be taken care of dear friend, all will be taken care of. Take rest and comfort in knowing that He is orchestrating everything and as you continue to lean into Him for everything, His will shall be done.

I love you dear, dear friend. I am with you and I am here for you in any way that I possibly can be. My prayers will continually be said for all of you and I am one who never gives up. I believe in His miracles and always will, so I am believing and praying for that for your dad.

If you ever want to e-mail me, my e-mail is in my profile on my site.

Peace to you and your family this day. Rest in knowing He is there with all of you, listening to every conversation, every prayer, helping you prepare your meals, sitting at your supper table. He is in ever single aspect of your lives and every single thing that you are doing and I rest in that dear friend for myself and for all of you.

I love you my friend.

Blessings, Peace, Hugs & Prayers,
Alleluiabelle

Loren,

I found you from Christy's blog and felt that I needed to be here at your blog, encouraging you to continue being such an awesome daughter and fellow sister in Christ.

I love your dad's amazing attitude and I hope he lives to prove all the doctors wrong and outlives them.

I was blog hopping tonight and thought I would come visit... I was touched by your post. I know it must be hard dealing with what your family is going through right now. May God bless you with strength.
