Isaiah 26:3 (New Century Version)
You, Lord, give true peace
to those who depend on you,
because they trust you.
I love to study the Word and at times I go to commentaries to see what they might have to say. Mathew Henry is one of my favorites and this is what he said for Isaiah 26 verses 1-4. These words speak so deeply to me at this season in my life and I pray they will speak to you as well! The Lord longs for us to walk in peace. Jesus said that He came to give us Peace. May each of you allow Gods peace to wash over you today!
Mathew Henry Commentary Isaiah 26
Verses 1-4 "That day," seems to mean when the New Testament Babylon shall be levelled with the ground. The unchangeable promise and covenant of the Lord are the walls of the church of God. The gates of this city shall be open. Let sinners then be encouraged to join to the Lord. Thou wilt keep him in peace; in perfect peace, inward peace, outward peace, peace with God, peace of conscience, peace at all times, in all events. Trust in the Lord for that peace, that portion, which will be for ever. Whatever we trust to the world for, it will last only for a moment; but those who trust in God shall not only find in him, but shall receive from him, strength that will carry them to that blessedness which is for ever. Let us then acknowledge him in all our ways, and rely on him in all trials

Hi sister Loren. Thank you for the reminder that when we focus our thoughts on God, we can know perfect peace even in turmoil. Praise the Lord for the stability that comes from Him! God bless you and your family.
Thank you for that. I was actually headed off to bed and I thought I would check to see if anyone had added on to Spiritual Sundays meme. I love the idea of peace. I have many things going on right now that I need to find peace in. I am going to copy and paste this if you dont mind so that I can read it often. It is for me only, I hope you don't mind.
Anne and God bless you
Wonderful post, and about the Oklahoma one, it would certainly qualify for a Spiritual Sundays post as well. No need to apologize. I'm glad you got to make the trip. I know it was a hard decision, but it is much easier when you believe it is God's will.
Thank you for sharing.
Have a wonderful Spiritual Sunday.
Charlotte
I will just say "Amen" to what my wife, Charlotte just said and remind you that we are still praying. Have a great week.
