The weekend brought us Much Joy, Some Excitement, Warm (a high of 88'!! we tied the record that was set in 1965! WOW) and Oh SO VERY WINDY Weather and some Cherished Family time!
We had asked if our grand-daughter Rylee could come and spend the night with us not just so we could see her but to give her a little one on one time. Sooo, Saturday evening Jenna was at work and Jantzen had gone to see a movie with his friends so we were able to really have some one on one time with Rylee! We took her to the park and played, watched the ducks and her favorite is the swing! She could swing for hours on end if you let her
Swinging away
Rylee and I watching the ducks swim in the pond ~ she was just mesmerized!
We started a new series at Church titled "WEIRD ~ BECAUSE NORMAL ISN'T WORKING ANYMORE" Pastor Craig Groeschel has written a book and this is going to be yet another AWESOME SERIES!!
Mid-day Sunday we heard a horrible sound. We ran outside to see what it was and saw a HUGE tree laying on the ground. The wind was blowing so incredibly hard but we had no idea it was that bad! WE COULDN'T BELIEVE OUR EYES! There on the ground was a 40 FOOT TREE! Gone just like that! We pulled it to the firewood pile and will be chopping it up for next winter :)
Shortly after this happened our oldest daughter came over with our grandson and we spent the day together as a family. We sat outside enjoying the warm air & had dinner together. Jenna had to leave to go to work around 7. She works at a place that serves frozen yogurt in which you can choose your own toppings and let me tell ya....IT IS DELICIOUS!! So we ended our day by going to have some delicious yogurt! Was a perfect ending to a very perfect day!
How about you guys? How was your weekend? Hope you all have a blessed week!

What a fun weekend. Well minus losing a tree. Oy! It blew pretty hard here last week but no trees down thank goodness.
You gotta love that precious alone time with your granddaughter. What memories to cherish.
HUGS

Love, love, love Craig Groeschel! Our pastor has been teaching on the Kings & Prophets of old ... and it's been a challenging means of considering one's walk with the Lord. Yesterday I found myself tearing up, so grateful for God's amazing grace in my life.
Any granddaughter named "Rylee/Rylie" is bound to captivate the heart :)
Blessings,
Kathleen
Such sweet pictures. Love that one of the two of you, just darling!
Crazy about that tree! Wow! The warm weather sounds heavenly and like you took full advantage of it. Love that you cherish time with your family so much. It's so heartwarming to hear about. Love you, my friend. <3
Love, love, love the picture of you & Rylee together!! XXOO Mom
SHEESH! That's some serious wind! Sorry you lost a tree...but it will keep you warm next winter! Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. Your granddaughter is adorable. I had to smile about the swing. My Faith loves, Loves, LOVES to swing. She could swing for hours on end. She and I have some of the best conversations on that swing in the backyard.
Hope you're having a good start to the week. The kids are back to school here after having spring break last week. Let me tell ya'...it was hard getting them up and moving this morning...and even harder to let them go again!
Peace and blessings.

Love the picture of you and sweet Rylee! That is so great that you were able to carve out some one on one time with her. She will remember these times always. Then to end the weekend at a frozen yogurt shop...could it get any better? ;-) We broke a record here yesterday today, now today...back in the 40's. Such is the weather.
Hi Loren, Your granddaughter is adorable. Glad the tree didn't hit your home or cars... Scary!!!! We have the high winds today--and they say storms are coming!!!!
Back from vacation --trying to catch up a little!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Great pics. I love going to the park, too. Pastor Craig is a wonderful teacher! Amy use to work in a yogurt shop so I know of the fun of that.
Love you!
Mary
It looks as if you had a great time with Rylee. I remember when my children were fascinated by ducks.
We have your high winds today -- I hope we don't get any trees down though.
What a great weekend you had!! We had one too. Dr. James Dobson visited our church and our preacher interviewed him for a few minutes.
Sounds like a great sermon series...gonna have to go check it out. That Rylee...precious!!!
Oh...and I love your new background. Looks like a scrapbook page. Where did you get it?
Aww... that one on one time is so precious. Love the photos. 88 degrees... wowza... heat wave! Are you going from winter straight to summer? lol Yummy frozen yogurt sounds like the perfect way to end a great day!
loves and hugs!
Jennifer
Sounds like a great day but I have to say swinging with Rylee would be the best. I just love a good swinging session where you go so high, you almost feel like you're going to fall out of the swing backwards. Okay, that sounded weird, but it would be fun! =D
