My new BFF's ;0)~

Yes these are my new BFF's ;) Ha! Just kidding :) well...... sort of!! Thought I would share with you all the machines that I have and use at different times of the day and some at all times!!

This little guy is my FAV!! He is called a tens unit! It sends electrodes through my shoulder and supposedly confuses my brain in regards to my shoulder being in pain! I did not have him last surgery and I have to say....HE IS AWESOME I Pretty much wear him 24/7 and the great news is that he is all mine! So we will benefit from him for a very long time! I have read up on these little things and they are great for people who experience chronic pain or any sort of muscular pain like when you sleep wrong or you pull a muscle...just put this thing on and wear it for awhile ...it's great!

This is my ice machine or better known as the cold therapy unit! This helps with my swelling! I sleep in this and wear it most of the day as well! Definitely any time I get out of the chair I immediately put my ice on! They are trying to take this guy away from me and I am praying I can have it for a few more days! We will find out today if it gets to stay if not....hopefully I won't be crying when it walks out the door! (because that is what I did when they called to tell me they were coming to pick it up...sheesh! can you say "GET A GRIP!!) We have contacted our insurance company and will be pleading our case so if you could pray that I can have it a bit longer I would soooo appreciate it!

This.....is my therapy chair! The CPM machine. It moves my arm at a slow and steady pace. I sit in this for 3 hours a day and it's benefits me greatly! When I go to Physical Therapy here in a couple of weeks this will be my saving grace in helping it not be so painful on that first day! :) p.s. this is NOT me!! FYI

I can't leave my recliner out! Oh rather I should say "my bed!" Yep ~ This is where I will be snoring er I mean sleeping for the next who knows how many weeks, It is far too painful to sleep in a bed so this is like heaven for now :) My kids are enjoying stealing my place for now and while they were on Fall break I was wondering if Dad would have a spot LOL

I am sooo very thankful for each one of these....Hope you all have a Fabulous Tuesday!!

Hi Loren, Isn't it amazing the new things they come out with to improve healing and manage pain? I continue to keep you in my prayers. Hope today is a good day.

Thank heavens for the equipment that helps with your pain management and physical therapy. Will pray fervently that you get to keep the ice machine for a while yet. If not, you may have to substitute a margarita machine. =) Will be thinking about you often and sending positive thoughts your way!!!

Goodness, I didn't even know they made such handy dandy contraptions. I do pray that you get to keep the ice machine thingy because if the thought of them taking it brought you to tears then you REALLY need it.
Praying for a speedy recovery my friend.
Love ya!

Hi Loren, Thanks for stopping by my blog. Any friend of Mildred is a friend of mine!!!!! Sorry to hear about your shoulder problem and PAIN. I had knee surgery in June --and luckily, am fine... BUT--I found out what PAIN was!!!! Yipes!

Thanks again. Come back anytime.
Hugs,
Betsy

Oh wow Loren...isn't it wonderful that they have all of these things to help. I am thinking I would just LOVE LOVE them all for my knees. Especially that first one. I had cortizone shots a week ago in both of them and I got a few days relief but it is back worse than ever. I can't get the surgery on them for a while longer as I have had a few lingering problems since the mastectomy's AND I need to take off some weight...sigh....meanwhile I am in such pain. I do hear you over here and I am praying for you whenever the Lord draws you to my mind. That chair does look quite comfy btw. Have a GOOD day. Hugs, Debbie

Oh girl!! I soooo remember (not too long ago) me using all of those same items!! Except for the little electrode machine!! I will DEFINITELY pray they let you keep the ice machine!! That was my saving grace! If not, I have one sitting in my garage. It's not mine but I am sure the person that owns it wouldn't mind me letting someone else get a blessing from it! Just saying...let me know!!! Hope you're feeling better.

Yikes..what a road for you Loren. I haven't seen any of your best friends...expect for the recliner of course. Glad they are offering you some relief.

Dear Loren, Please forgive me for not checking on you lately. I didn't even know about your surgery until a few days ago. I won't bother you with all my excuses but I have just kind of abandoned the computer in favor of other "stuff" for a few days. Charlotte said she checked on you and that you were back in action. I'm glad you are doing better. I'm pleased you are able to write reviews and will be reviewing Sarah's book today. For some reason you remind me of her. Thanks for showing and telling us all about your "machines." The Tens thingie was recommended to us once but we never checked into it. I'm glad it is helping you. Well, we are off to the gym in a few minutes. I meet it with mixed emotions. I'm glad I can do it but it's also a challenge for a lazy old man. Keep getting better!

Hi Loren,

I absolutely will pray that you can keep your ice machine for as long as you need it. Praying for you in every way. Praying for the comfort and restoration you need as well. Blessings upon you and your family...

Hi! Loren, yea! you're back! WoW, I never have heard of those machines, and certainly did not have any with my shoulder, nor did my son...looks like they make it maybe a little less stressful! I just had to do it the old fashion way! but praise God, it works wonderful now. but anyway, oh! yes that recliner is a God-Send!! So glad you checked in! Take care!

George

I hope all of these friends can stay with you and help you have a speedy recovery.
Thanks for visiting my site.

Bernie

I have a tens machine for my neck, shoulder and lower back, use it all the time.
Praying that they let you keep your ice machine as well Loren.......:-) Hugs
