Spiritual Sundays

I have been enjoying the final days that we are all home and together ~ before we get back into our routines. I LOVE it when we are all home together. My DH had vacation this week so we have just been having some really good FAMILY TIME!

It's a new year for Spiritual Sundays and if you haven't ever joined in ~ please do! If you want to be blessed please take time to visit here and read the many different posts. While there let Charlotte and Ginger know what a wonderful place it is! Thankyou ladies so much for sharing this wonderful place with so many!

Today I am sharing out of my Jesus Calling devotional. It is written by Sarah Young.

Come To ME with a teachable spirit, eager to be changed. A close walk with ME is a life of continual newness. Do not cling to the old ways as you step into a New Year. Instead, seek MY face with an open mind, knowing that your journey with ME involves being transformed by the renewing of your mind. As you focus your thoughts on ME, be aware that I am fully attentive to you. I see you with a steady eye, because my attention span is INFINITE. I know and understand you completely; MY thoughts embrace you in everlasting love.
I also know the plans I have for you: plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Give yourself fully to this adventure of increasing attentiveness to my Presence.

May you all have a blessed Sunday

Oh Loren this is a great post. I remember well those "vacations" and times of enjoying my family. I chose that verse to cling to this year! Have a wonderful day. Blessings to you, Debbie

I will mediate on a teachable spirit today.

That would be awesome if we make His Kingdom our primary concern. Then, our thoughts would be filled with His desires, and be more like Him...That's a great reminder. Thank you for sharing. This 2010, may we put Him as no.1 as He easily gets bumped out when we deal with our other goals/plans, people, and my! even the things we do for His glory could be our idols if we are not careful. Blessings to you sister Loren. I'm glad you are having a wonderful time with your family. May you find rest also in His presence. Keeping you in prayers, you know that. Love to you.
I just got home and tired from last night's work. Busy! But just wanna' pass by real quick to wish you a great week ahead. God bless.

Amen. This devotional sounds similar to one that I have called "Letters from the Heart of God", where full of little letters with Scripture directed to our heart, from His. Nice. Nourishment to our weary souls - in those perfect moments, Loren.

It sounds like you've had a restful week. Hoping for continued refreshment for you, special gifted moments perfectly arranged by our Father's Loving Hands.

Love and warm hugs to you, sister.

I am so glad that you are enjoying some time with your family all together before the routine of life starts up again! I love the devotion at the end of your post today too. I want to increase my attentiveness to His presence in this upcoming year. Still lifting you up in prayer.
Love,
Christy
