Spiritual Sundays

Psalm 25:4-5

Show me Your ways, O Lord;
Teach me Your paths

Lead me in Your Truth and teach me,
For YOU are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day.

The Discipline in Waiting ~ GROWING IN KNOWING

Cultivating the knowledge of God requires the discipline of waiting upon HIM. As used here "wait" means to "bind together"
through a process of intertwining, clearly suggesting the virtual envelopment of the soul with God. To wait upon the Lord is to foster a sensitivity both to HIS presence and HIS promptings, which quiets our hearts, focuses our minds through thanksgiving and praise, and allows HIM to reveal any subtle attitudes or forgotten sins that would dull our sensitivity to HIS voice

Study notes from the Spirit Filled Life Bible (NKJV)

As we learn, as we wait, we will be filled with HIS presence and our hearts and minds will be focused on HIM and HIS Ways!

Thankyou Charlotte and Ginger for hosting Spiritual Sundays please go visit them here! You will be so blessed!

The Lord had shown me this verse sister Loren before I posted my Spiritual Sunday post. May we trust in Him and only in Him alone...The waiting is not easy but He already planted the seed of hope in our hearts. I can't sleep before going to work tonight so I just want to visit sisters as I pray...Blessings to you and love to you in Christ.

Thanks you for the kind words on family fountain! Would love for your family to be able to go to Yellowstone Bible Camp next summer! It is a wonderful family experience.

Praying for your dad. And for you. God bless.

A Little Of This And That

Oh that is so true. It is when I am the most quiet and still that I hear the Lord's voice the strongest.

Susan

Thanks for sharing this translation of this wonderful verse.

When we pray, the answer can be "yes," "no," or "wait." I think "wait" may be the toughest answer of the three. Loren, I hope that you have a happy Sunday.

He & Me + 3

Thank you for sharing this today. I have the hardest time with waiting...He is still working on me in that area.

The spirit filled life bible is wonderful. Yes to wait upon the Lord is not always easy, but always worth it. Thanks for sharing this. Blessings to you, Debbie

Great verses!

It is so nice to meet you. One can never have too many friends to ride the roller coaster of life with, even in blogland.

Happy sunday!!!

This has been a hard lesson for me to learn. Thanks for these good words. I need a lot of encouragement in this area of my life. Have a great week.

So good, so very good...a lesson that is often missed in our walk...we don't know how to wait, to be still, listen to His promptings...we want to be first in line, when we should be second, behind the Leader, our God. Thanks for these words that cause me to think and ask myself where I am in line.

God bless,
Mary

Gotta Have Faith

Happy Sunday!

Thanks for the comments and it would have been really nice to have met you and your family. Kat really wanted to come as well, it was just a little too expensive to have tried to make the trip.

Maybe soon we can all meet.

Take Care,

Steve

Bless you for sharing this sweetie.

It isn't always easy to wait on the Lord. It isn't easy to wait - period. But we definitely need to learn this lesson. I'm sorry your Dad's report wasn't good. I know you will stay strong and the Lord will be with you and help you to do just that.
Blessings dear Loren.

It always amazes me that we serve a God who speaks so personally to us when we quiet down. It makes me feel so loved. Even in the waiting which is hard, he gives strength to hang in.

Loren, Thank You for sharing. I have studied my Bible a lot. I have thought about my post Wave Of Light.. I Thank God every day for my family I have, and think about ALL of my family often. I may not be on much this week, I have not felt well. This cold weather is already making my throat hurt. Have a great week.
Blessings, Audrey

I agree, we learn while waiting! Waiting is sooo hard though, but as the old saying goes, "Anything worth having is worth waiting for!"

God Bless,
