For Today...

Outside my window... Sunny and Hot :) Just the way I like it!

I am thinking... How much I love being a NONI (grandma)

I am thankful for... The news my dad received for at least one of his tests, whatever this is in his body has at least NOT SPREAD :) THANKYOU LORD

From the kitchen... Fresh fruits, veggies and anything that can be grilled

I am wearing... my hair has decided in my old age to be curly (how does this happen?)
my jean shorts and my cute tank top

I am reading... piles of goodstuff

I am praying... for my Dad, my brother, for my bloggy friend Lori and her family and friends, and other friends as well

Around the house... We love SUMMER! Sitting outside at night talking, reading, being lazy if we want to ~hey it's summer!

One of my favorite things... Seeing the fruit of working with a life coach over the past few years and being able to help others in situations in their marriage or life circumstances.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Dr. appt tomorrow to see if I need shoulder surgery, my son is in Cooking School this week and loves it and Friday with mom and all the grandkids will be over here making something for Fathers Day for my DH and my brother. It's going to be so much fun :)

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you

Motivation

I just have to thank Sarah Mae for her Motivate Me Mondays! I found her blog a few months ago and this was a post I participated in some, and gleened so much more from.
She has decided to say good-bye to this particular post and to pass the torch to her friend Dana @ Composing Halleluahs. Today Sarah Mae shared with us about Moving On, not being afraid of the risks! That is just one of the things I love about this bloggy world ~ most everyone works together, helps each other out, lifts each other up in prayer, or with encouraging comments. That motivates me ya'll, doesn't it you? Isn't that what we are called to do?

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
Heb 10:24

If Love was the root of all our motivation, or loving our neighbor like we love ourselves hmmmm .....If we weren't afraid of what others thought or if Sarah Mae was worried that Dana just might do better with this than she did, but she didn't. She freely and gladly gave with the hopes that new life would be put into it! Sounds just like some ONE we all know and love! What are we holding on to? What are we afraid to let go of? Where can we love or encourage today?

Church. Mega Church. Small town Church. Denominational. Non Denominational. House Church. Where do you go and why? When/How did you get saved? How is your relationship with Jesus?

These are questions that I would love to hear the answers to from you all. Share your testimonies, your hearts and recall when you met and received your Saviour. Has it been years since that beloved day or was it just yesterday? Are you growing in the Word? Praying in the Spirit? Hearing from God daily or feeling so far away it hurts?

Looking forward to hearing from you! Be blessed and please meet the Spiritual Sunday ladies here

PIANO FROM *&%#!!*

Well, if you have read about my garage sale below you know my
DH(dear husband) and my son were demolishing the piano that we could not even give away. Well....bc we were at the end of the garage sale and they were so busy I had carried my laptop outside to BLOG...what every devoted blogger would do right ???? YES and an AMEN :)

I had just finished my post hurriedly since DH was a little annoyed at my devotion to blogging **AHEM** and he was ready to call it a day and get what was left bagged up and taken to goodwill SOOOO.....I am working away and the next thing I know is that he has hurt himself and blood is squirting out of his finger and our friend who had come to help looked at me real serious and said "You may want to go with him to help tape that up REAL TIGHT" ummmmm ok. I went inside and DH was already at the sink and he was FOLDING his skin back into place and said there was something real hard....honey is that the bone??? good grief.

Let me tell you a little bit about this piano ok. We got this piano from a friend I used to work with at the Salon. She gave it to us for FREE! My son took lessons for a year and this piano was really really old and needed LOTS OF WORK. We decided after time that it just wasn't worth putting the money into so we had some teens come over to Help DH move it to the garage. On this particular move he ended up having to have ROTATOR CUFF SURGERY....mmhmmm You heard me right!

So today when he couldn't give it away and this happened you can understand the title and his frustration. We went to minor emergency and he got 6 shots in his finger. Now folks, the good Lord made our fingers to FEEL....and shots HURT! Then DH got 4 stitches. The Dr. said that there was a flap of skin that he couldn't sew and that it would probably die so when it did just to cut it off....EXCUSE ME? CUT IT OFF??? I won't be doing that, no way no how!

We are home, and yes, I had to take a picture. My sweet honey made the first one funny for all my bloggy friends .....Let me know if you see a difference in the two pics?

I love my husband....He is such a sweet heart and supports me in everything, even my blogging....Oh how I am blessed! But I don't think he will let me convince him to accept anymore FREE PIANOS...

p.s. nooooo he didn't LOSE his finger *heehee* my DH is so Ornery!

Fun with the kids

Well we had a "Spur of the moment" Bonfire and let the kids have some friends over and it was sooo much fun and then WE were surprised by one our daughters friends who had moved away, and had come back for a surprise visit! I squeeled so loud my husband heard me all the way from the house to the firepit LOL. (We have an acre long back yard sooo I must have been pretty loud) We love Paigey POO and have missed her very much!

Here are some pics with Jantzens friends

Here are the teens catching up with one another

Then this morning we FINALLY had our much anticipated neighborhood garage sale. The last time we were suppose to have it we had flooding and then no electricity in the whole neighborhood the morning of the sale.

My Dear Husband helping me set up

When all was said and done, we sold quite a bit, met some new neighbors, and then my DH and sweet son decided to take apart the very old piano

This proved to be QUITE THE CHORE! They used everything you can imagine:
hammers, chainsaw, pik axe! Pianos are built VERY VERY WELL! But they conquered it!!!

Down Day

Today has been one of those days.....ya know when you just want to crawl back in bed, pull the covers over your head and stay there until ... idk Jesus comes back!

Yep I had that kind of day.

My dad was told to wait yet another week. That he will have to take another biopsy test at the mayo next week. His regular dr. sent his info to Mayo but guess what they sent someone elses file instead of his....HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?? His cough and ability to breath wasn't good today and he shared with me there are two people he tries hard not to cough while on the phone with them....me and my nana (his mom) because we freak out. I said Dad....crying or getting emotional is freaking out to you? well yes honey it is....ok I need to work on NOT crying while we talk but it hurts so much to hear him suffer and cough with only being able to say about 3 words between coughs. I love my dad so much and He is just soooo healthy but this will prove to be a benefit no matter what we find out I am sure! He will be taking a PETSCAN test on Fri. which is where he drinks some radioactive dye and it will light up it his body and that too will now go to mayo next week. He was at least encouraged by his new Mayo dr. and says other than this cough he is doing well. Thankyou Lord for this. In my quiet time I know that while we are all waiting for the news, the treatment etc. that God is with all of us and that He is moving in the hearts of all of us...My dad, stepmom, my brother, my nana ...He shows me, He tells me in His Word not to worry. Without Him...this truly would be impossible. I know we all will grow and learn so much from this and I am thankful for all that He has done thus far. I am grateful that we have each other to lean on....some don't have the Lord, some don't have a church family or so many praying for them, some don't even have insurance or family to support them. God is good....all the time, EVEN WHEN WE ARE WAITING and his timing is PERFECT, even when we wish He was sometimes faster.

Had some other issues come up that are heavy on my heart and am laying these at the feet of Jesus. He knows better than I how to help, encourage, and handle each of these situations.

If you read this post please pray for my Dad ~ Doug.
Thankyou Mary for claiming that word of healing for him. Thankyou Jennifer for your prayers for my dad. and to all of you who will join me in lifting my dad to the One who can Heal all of our diseases, give us Peace, is our shelter, our stronghold and our Strength

In Him
