When besieged,
I'm calm as a baby.
When all hell breaks loose,
I'm collected and cool.
I'm asking God for one thing,
only one thing:
To live with him in his house
my whole life long.
I'll contemplate his beauty;
I'll study at his feet.
That's the only quiet, secure place
in a noisy world,
The perfect getaway,
far from the buzz of traffic.
Psalms 27:3-5 MSGThere are So many distractions, wouldn't you agree??? .... The Word tells us the
ONLY quiet, secure place and the
perfect getaway is with the
LORD. I LOVE sitting outside on my porch swing, listening to the birds singing in the morning, or the outdoor symphony of the frogs, cicadas, and crickets in the evening. Watching the deer walk through as they graze on the corn we have put out for them. I just Love swinging, reading the Word and being in Gods Presence. Truly a Perfect Getaway! As Summer makes it arrival and many plan their vacations, isn't it awesome to KNOW that we NEVER have to go somewhere to find God....He is ALWAYS with us. He refreshes us, renews us, and fills us with HIS Peace.
Truly, the Perfect Getaway is with Our Father! HE awaits your arrival.....

Lovely post! I'm visiting with WFW. Blessings!
Sounds like a perfect setting for hanging out with God! But it is amazing to know that anywhere we are...God is! He is as near as our breath.
Hope you had fun with Rylee and that Jantzen is feeling better. Have been thinking about you a lot and praying that all is well.
Peace and blessings to your day.

I am so grateful to know and experience that we are always in His presence. A couple of years ago I was in hospital in a fairly noisy 4 bed ward with pneumonia and a collapsed lung......one night I lay awake, for once the ward was quiet and just to know that I was in His presence and to quietly chat with Him was a precious experience I shall never forget.
Beautifully said my dear daughter...Love you.
So grateful that HE is our refuge!!
He does long to meet us there...what a blessing and perfect reminder!
peace,
lori
