Spiritual Sundays ~ Revealing Truth

Charlotte and Ginger are two wonderful and godly women. They host Spiritual Sundays each and every week and if you would like to join in, I know you will be blessed by doing so.

I have heard it said a few times in my 44 years that when we are doing something we shouldn't, sometimes, we are blind to those actions and how it affects our lives, and the lives of those around us. Now, don't get me wrong, there are those times when we know EXACTLY what we are doing and continue anyways. But those times when we are Blinded and then the truth is revealed......WOW!! We are shocked at how in the world we had acted that way for so long and never knew it!

I have a VERY outgoing personality. VERY! Over this past year, I became just the opposite. I withdrew. I allowed some hurts and offenses to build and keep me in a place of isolation. As my husband put it....My Spirit was eroding. He was right. It was. There is no need in sharing the why's of the situation, but what I feel the Lord wants me to share is this:

There were times I would feel the Lords prompting but I didn't know what specifically to do. I didn't have a clear Word until one day recently, I was having a conversation with the Lord. I spoke to HIM saying "It seems as ......" As I began sharing my thoughts on my situation and I spoke those words, my Spirit resonated immediately. I knew I had gotten to the root of my issue. I began asking Jesus to help me as well as taking Spiritual authority over the situation. The spirit of isolation had to go. The spirit of resentment had to go. The Spirit of fear had to go. Not only did these need to go, but I had to ask the Lord to replace them with HIS Spirit of Forgiveness, Boldness, Peace and Love.

The Freedom that comes when the Lord moves on our behalf ~ The Joy is truly UNSPEAKABLE.

I know the enemy wanted nothing more than for me to stay in my place of isolation. It grieves me that I stayed there as long as i did. Oh, but for the grace of God. Truly, His mercies are new every day and HE washes my sins as far as the East is from the West! I am soo thankful that HE loves me enough NOT to leave me alone. To continue to speak, to nudge me until my ears were finally opened to the truth and my heart was receptive as well! Praise be to God!

What about you? Do you feel the Lord nudging you? Are you struggling with a situation? If so, SEEK HIM. WHOLEHEARTEDLY.
HE will show you. He will reveal the root and allow it to be exposed so that healing can come and restoration can too.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms Ephesians 6:12

1 Coritnthians 3:16-18
But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

YOU, my friend are a VERY outgoing person--even when you are withdrawn. But if you have been withdrawn and not feeling the joy of God and sharing it with others then I am thrilled beyond words that you, like the Prodigal have come to your senses. God bless you as you live your life for Him. Charlotte and I love you in HIM. Keep going and growing.

I'm glad that whatever was going on is over. Your words which I think are awesome..came from that time you felt you had to withdraw. I've discovered He redeems everything...even those things I hated...and wondered why would He even allow. Now I know...to use it to give someone else hope. I only know you through the blog but Loren....I think you're the absolute best. ☺☺

Dearest Friend,
You are so outgoing and fun-loving and joy filled--I never would have guessed that you were going through this.

But I am so glad that you've been restored to your old self and I am rejoicing with you.

Love you much,
Dianne

I'm praising God with you, Loren, for this wonderful breakthrough. You are so right. We win when we speak to the Lord about it and take the authority he gave us. Love you!

I have an equally outgoing nature. I love life. I love people. 95% of the time what comes back to me is valuable, even precious. But 5% of the time I get bonked. I wouldn't trade the 95 for the 5 any day, but I have learned to "learn my lessons" and move on.

There are many areas in my life that the Lord touches gently in order to purify me. Sometimes it stings. Sometimes it stinks. But always it leaves me better than when He found me. Much, much better.

Hugs,
Kathleen

Hi! Loren, wow! As I just said this morning in Saturday morning prayer hour, w/my SS class, is that all God desires is Truth,& Honesty, and the truth will set you free! I loved this post for it was a reminder, that we all need to do work in this area! I know I do! But because of our human nature we have a tendency to "shrink back"!Untillllll....God Moves Us!! Thank you Lord for the Holy Spirit!! Warm Blessings and a great~ Big Texas ~(((Hug))) to you!!

Dear Loren,
I am so glad that you were alert to God speaking to you, and that you shared it. I needed to read this tonight. Thank you so much!
Love you!

Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

I am so glad that you are feeling more like yourself. The Lord is so good to us we just need to let him in on everything and as him to take control.
God Bless my friend,
Ginger

What a blessing the Lord is. He knows us and loves us anyway. Lovely post.

Charlotte

Thank you for sharing your heart with us, Loren. You are always a blessing to me. We all go through valleys and it's so nice when God shows us the way and we find ourselves heading up the mountain again.
Blessings,
Charlotte

Hi Loren,

Like those before me, I rejoice with you that the obstacles in your path have been overcome. I shall remember these words from you, "The Freedom that comes when the Lord moves on our behalf ~ The Joy is truly UNSPEAKABLE."

Blessings and peace.

Loren,

Thanks for posting this, I too, often find myself withdrawing and you're right, when God reveals it for what it is, it is so healing when He restores your spirit to fall in line with His will. Just like the enemy to seek to destroy and lead us away. That should be a hint, when we are lead away from others we are at the greatest risk of attack.

Actually prayed TODAY that God would snap me out of this withdrawal/funk I've been in...that today would be a day I'd look back on and say "That was the day it changed." So it's so fitting that I read this today...
Praying and trusting God for help and thanking God that you are seeing the other side of it. Love you, my friend. Even when you don't feel your best, you are still so exceptional. XO

It is easy to slip into that despair. I have found myself having to pull myself out with God's help many times in the past 10 years. Blessing and keep your head up. Debbie
