This weekend was spent remembering my Daddy. My Stepmom flew into town last Thursday. This was the weekend they set my Dads Headstone. Since my Daddy's funeral was in Florida (last December) there were alot of his family that didn't attend~ so we had a ceremony of our own. It was tearful and beautiful all at the same time.
I really want to thank all of you for your prayers. We all felt them. One miracle I would love to share with all of you was that my Nana, (Dads mom) who hasn't been to the cemetery in 20 years, went! It BROKE MY HEART seeing her stand there looking upon her son's headstone. I truly cannot imagine her pain. She is 90 years old and has continually said...You're not suppose to say goodbye to your kids first. She needs our prayers so I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for them!

Right Beside Daddy's Headstone was this BEAUTIFUL Persimmon Tree ~ it just took our Breath away!!
I am so thankful we had this weekend to share with just our family. It was so very special and I know Daddy was with us. In each of our hearts. I miss Him soo very much everyday.
This is a picture of the last time he came to visit me. A picture I cherish to say the least!

This is a very sweet photo of you and your dad, Loren. I will remember each of you, especially Nana, during this time. The first holidays without our loved ones are difficult.
Loren your pictures are beautiful and heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time. I'm sure it was one of those bittersweet weekends full of happy and sad. Prayers to you and your family. Your Nana is just beautiful. I'm a Nana, too, and I hope I look that good at 90!!!

Miss Loren -
Thank you for sharing this heartbreaking and soul-stirring story with us. The picture of Nana looking at the headstone brought tears to my eyes. I love the beauty of the tree with the sun shining through!
We prayed your Dad right into the arms of Jesus! God had His will and His way all along!

Your family is in my prayers. Love you.
Hi, Loren! I followed you over from your comment on Amie's blog. I noticed you are from Oklahoma as well.
I wanted to invite you to become a follower of my blog, Dawn's Diversions and another blog I collaborate on, The RHOK - Real Housewives of Oklahoma.
What a touching post about your dad and grandmother. I can't imagine what she must have been feeling. :(
I agree with her, no one should have to bury their child - no matter the age.
I am sorry for the loss of your father.
I'm glad you had the time with your family to celebrate your Dad's life. I can imagine how hard it was for your grandmother. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
I am so glad you had this time with your family to remember your daddy...No, I agree with your Nana, you are not suppose to say good-bye to your kids...How very sad for her. You will all be in my prayers as you go through this first holiday season. BLESSINGS

I so glad you got to have this time!! We all need closure. Nana is so tiny and cute!! I only remember seeing her a time or two. Her tiny little self and her white hair really remind me of Nanny!! Love the pictures including the one Jenna posted of you and Nana!! Love the picture of you and your dad. Sure would love to see that smile again, it was always awesome!! Thought of you all weekend!!
Love you

I think of your dad often and am grateful that you shared him with us. His letters were so thought-provoking and his love for life so apparent.
Love you, Loren. You are in my thoughts and prayers, not only this past weekend, but always. XO
The picture of you with your dad is amazing - your love for each other so clear. Sending prayers to you and your family.
