Something Beautiful ~

My friend Renee @ A Glimpse of Beautiful shares this meme with us each Monday! I love seeing all the Beautiful posts and know you will too :) go ahead ~ join in

God called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:10

I shared last week how much I LOVE the Ocean! Everything about it! There is just something so peaceful in listening to the waves. He created the seas on the 2nd day! Wow! The 2nd day! He saw that it was good....I have to say "good" just doesn't suffice when describing the Ocean or anything God created for that matter :)

What about you....Do you love the Ocean and listening to the waves? What do you find beautiful about the Ocean?

I just couldn't agree more. I LOVE LOVE the ocean. Talk about something that just screams the power and majesty of Almighty God. One of my favorite places to be for sure. I could listen to those waves for hours (and quickly be lured to sleep, haha) and feel the dampness and smell the ocean smells. And watching the sun glisten off the waves and the birds flying around. Did I mention that I love the ocean, haha? Have a wonderful day.

This post gave me goosebumps. I love the ocean and when I am near the ocean I feel HIS presence. It is so peaceful and so vast. His creations amaze me daily.

Loren, I love the ocean too. We've always lived in Florida so you can imagine. I love how it calms me and somehow I seem to hear God's voice there quite clearly. I could never live somewhere that it would not be a short drive away.

Thanks for sharing. Have a beautiful Monday!

By the way, I took your button, clicked on your follow and added you to my neighbors list as well as travels (blogroll). I look forward to visiting and I agree 100% that the most important work we do for the Lord is at home. ;)

You know I love the ocean!!! Sitting on the beach, watching my hubby and kids play, reading a book, soaking up the beauty of our wonderful Lord, truly wonderful!!!

I had planned to post an ocean picture from our trip, but then Sarah had that sweet baby girl...

Love you

I absolutely LOVE the ocean. I grew up with the ocean being just a short 20 minute drive around the mountain...when I see the ocean, I feel like I am home.

I am in awe of how vast the ocean is...how the tide ALWAYS comes in...the amazing life that is underneath. Everything about it calms and refreshes me. It is truly a wonderful thing God created.

I thought I loved the mountains until I saw the ocean...now the ocean with some palm trees swaying in the breeze are all I can think about!

Monday blessings to you Loren, Love this post because being a native ex-Californian we could get to the ocean in about 45 mins. It always reminds me of the magnitude of His power and creativity. I miss the ocean but not enough to move back. Love the water when it's warm-like the Islands or Mexico.
Have a wonderful day.

This is my first visit to your blog. I am visiting from the Something Beautiful link party.

I have to agree with you on the ocean. I LOVE the ocean. I have it listed in my "about me" section as one of my great loves. WE used to live about 30 minutes from Daytona Beach, and as a result, we went to the beach several days a week. Unfortunately, we are currently living in a land-locked state and haven't seen the ocean for 2 years. We are going into withdrawals!! There is nothing quite like the ocean, that's for sure.

Have a lovely day,
Patti

You know what's really sad..
We live only 20 minutes from the beach and we hardly go.
When we do go, I always sit there and think.. why don't we come here all the time.. LOL

Thanks for stopping by the other day with such encouraging words and scripture!! It meant so much!!

Blessings

Steph T.

I agree...peaceful & beautiful..nothing like it.

Hi Loren,

Thanks so much for linking up! :)
I LOVE the sounds of the ocean! I also love pictures of sunsets with the ocean. Nothing seems quite as peaceful!
It's neat that God said that it was "good". And if that is God's definition of good, then what does He mean when He says He gives us everything good? He is good, too, so the word translated "good" must be much better than our definition of the word good! :) (And what if we saw God's definition of "good" every time we saw that word in the Bible?)
I think God put natural therapy in this earth just because he loved us. It sure seems like therapy when you've had a stressful day and you listen to the ocean. When I sit outside at night and listen to the crickets chirp and the gentle breeze, I feel the same way. What a great reminder of just how much God loves us!

Thanks again for linking up and for your nice comments! I love hearing from you!
Have a great day!

I love the waves, dolphins, and the blue, blue water.

We were to go to Dauphin Island this summer, but the trip cancelled due to the oil spill.

I love the ocean. Our family lived in Hawaii when I was just a baby. My sister and brother learned to swim there, in the ocean.

I've prayed so many times by the ocean, and just sat and listened.

God blessed me with a trip to Seattle right after my Daddy died. I cannot tell you how I needed that, and the calming waves...

God bless you this day. Peace be unto you.
Joey

COUNTRY MOM

I LOVE the ocean too. I really enjoy shelling and just being around the beach. Nothing more relaxing:) How are you? Much Love,

Whenever I see the ocean or an incredible mountain view, I feel the Power and Strength of the Lord. It's been many years since I've visited the ocean but I am blessed to often see the mountains in north GA. My brother has just relocated to CA from GA and is sharing such awesome views of the ocean there.
