The Word tells us in Psalm 119:105
"Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path"
A few years ago the Lord gave me an idea.....I made little Scripture books for each of us. I asked the kids what the areas they felt were a struggle and did the same for my husband and myself. Then I made a book for them with Scriptures to help them speak/memorize/etc. when those situations came up along with Encouraging Scriptures and Praise Scriptures because don't you know it is sooo much better to put on a Garment of Praise for that spirit of heaviness!!
Let the Word be a LAMP to YOUR Feet....It is YOUR SWORD and your answer in ALL THINGS!
Have a blessed weekend!

I love this idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where did you get those little notebooks?
Everything we need can be found in the Word. Thanks for sharing this.
Sometimes I crack myself up when I put Sticky Notes on my car's dash, or bathroom mirror, with scriptures I want to memorize. I like your idea better!
Blessings,
Kathleen
I used to buy those nicely printed business cards and wrote the Scriptures and that was how I learned to memorize some. Sometimes, I could leave anonymously and praying someone who needed the Lord would get that business card in His perfect time, of course. How could someone resist? If this is some heavenly kind of business. I love your idea, too! That you have it ready when you need to be uplifted by His true promises! Rest well sister and God bless you and protect you all always. Love you sister Loren!
Great idea!! I am still blessed today by Scriptures I memorized when I was a teenager. You'll have a great day tomorrow, the Lord's Day--even if it's still snowing.
Great idea, Loren. Thank you for sharing it.
I hope it quits snowing and the sun starts shining on you.
Blessings,
Charlotte
Great idea. I have a corkboard in our bedroom that I post scriptures on.
What a great idea, Loren.
So glad you're home safe and sound and that God blessed your time together...it's wonderful to hear how God is using you throughout all this. And that you're able to all heal with each other..you and your family.
Rest up, dear one. Love you!
Loren,
I started doing this for my surgery this week, not only with scripture references, but a playlist with songs not only to lift me up but to sooth my soul as well. I am also taking some much needed cards and emails as voices from friends who care and send their prayers. I do not go into this alone, I go with God!

What a wonderful idea. My DIL has little post cards all over the house with scriptures that are especially speaking to her. I love reading them when I am there (which isn't often unfornately) so that I can see just where the Lord is working with her. I love that you did this for your kids and your hubby too. How wonderful. Have a great Sunday. Hugs, Debbie
this is so cool. I love the effect of the scriptures on notepads...and I love the scriptures you chose...Sarah
Loren that is such a *great* idea!! How neat that your family each has one of these books from you!
Love & Blessings,
Jennifer
This is the most wonderful idea! To ask our children what areas they struggle with and to lead them to the scriptures that will help--that is just so beautiful! I will definitely keep this idea in mind!
Cool idea for a cool mom!
Such a lovely idea dear one, love you so much.
What a great idea! This would make a nice gift for someone going through a tough time.
Have a blessed Spiritual Sunday!
Oh Loren, I love this idea! I'm going to look for a small notebook like this and try doing the same thing for myself and...also for my two children.
Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving your heart-felt comment and prayers. You understand so much and you bless me in so many ways. What a sweet, sweet woman you are and I love you dear one.

I love that scripture book idea. You are amazing! I may have to borrow that idea.
Hugs & happy Sunday,

I love this idea! I have lots of bible verses I keep handy when one of my kids need some encouragement. Thank you for sharing.
This is a GREAT idea! I have a few taped up around the kitchen, but this could go with me everywhere....
What a great idea! I purchased this little glass box from my local Christian bookstore and it contained cards with one verse of the Bible on one side of each card and a daily devotional quip on the other side. Every morning, I would choose randomly out of the box and read it to my children before they left for school. Once they left, I would put the card at the front and have them memorize it when they got home. That was a lot of fun.
Thank you for sharing this with all of us. God bless!
Beautiful idea!
I LOVE this idea! I wish I would of did this with my kids, but I will do it with my grandchildren for sure. Thank-you for sharing this wonderful idea with us.
