Well Today is Thursday and that means thankfulness is shared here at Magoos News. It may be a while before I post since I will be having rotator cuff surgery in the morning and just not sure when I can get back on but even if I have to "hunt and peck" type with my other hand you know I will LOL......
Thankful doesn't even begin to say enough today....Ya'll know I was scheduled to have surgery last Friday and for some random reason it was postponed til this Friday.....I knew Immediately that God was in it and was curious for the reason well guess what!
Here is the reason.
My DH (aka, my litl chipmunk) was in SEVERE pain this week with a toothache. He originally thought it was a previous root canal that needed to be redone bc ever since it was worked on it never felt quite right. Well, guess what? It was another one of his teeth further back and the dentist had to go pretty deep. He said he hadn't seen that bad of an infection in a long time. The tooth was absessed and they performed a root canal right away. But here we are 2 days later and his pain has gotten worse! My DH can tolerate quite ALOT of pain but this was just almost to much to bare! When he woke up this morning this is what he looked like. We spent time last night laying hands on him and asking the LORD to help the pain and to make this go away. Well fortunately I had picked up all my post surgery meds and he took one of the really strong pain killers and it helped him rest for the first time all week. He called the doctor this morning and they are changing his antibiotic but says the pain is GONE! PRAISE THE LORD! Bless his heart...He was so worried about being able to take care of me but I just encouraged him and said we needed to Praise the Lord for HIS timing and that when he woke up in the morning (this morning) we would be able to thank the Lord for what HE would do overnight! and that is exactly what we are doing!! THANKYOU FATHER!!! I know sometimes we don't get to see reasons for Gods timing but in this case we did and I am soooo thankful that the Lord allowed the delay!
I also want to thank Kat for this award. She has

Oh Sweetie, my heart goes out to your husband! As one who endured an entire month (March 2008) of pain, trips to the dentist and ultimately root canal and a crown and loads of time without eating -- my heart is with him and with you and so are my prayers.
At times we can't see at the moment why something is happening a certain way but then GOD at times shows us in the details later as He has done in showing you why your surgery needed to be postponed.
I'm praying for you right now Sweetie for your surgery tomorrow. My love and prayers go with you and I am certain all is going to be well.
As for the friendship acknowledgment you made me cry as I feel toward you what you said toward Kat. I feel like we've known each other for YEARS and it's just been a time of separation and now God has rejoined us in Him. Truth is I can see how you feel that way about Kat as I feel the same too. We're all sisters.
I love and appreciate you very much. Keep in touch.
I am a sucker for "God's timing" stories... I love them!! So glad everything worked out and hubby is feeling better so he can care for you! I will be praying for you tomorrow... have hubby or Jenn send us a "she's ok" note! ;)
Thank you for the sweet friendship award! I feel so blessed that you have come into my life as a dear friend!!
Love ya!
Jennifer
Toothaches can be so awful. I have had several root canals. I'm so thankful for what dentists can do today. In the old days they just pulled the tooth. It is also amazing how the Lord knows how to schedule and reschedule events. I'm glad this worked out for you and now hope and pray that your surgery goes well.
The award is just darling. Thank you so much for awarding it to me.
Hugs & blessings,
Charlotte
I'm so sorry you guys have been having so much pain. Pain is pain regardless of the type and how it comes. I'm glad you have a "tough" husband. I'm not tough when it comes to pain. When I'm hurting I groan a lot. Charlotte can stand a lot more pain than I can. I'll be thinking about you both and praying for you as I continue to remember your dad. Thanks for thinking of me when passing on your gift. I appreciate it. As you may know, I have stopped taking these and passing them on. It doesn't mean I don't appreciate them because I do. There are so many I would want to give this to but couldn't. It makes me think about the days growing up and kids choosing up teams one by one. Somebody has to be last and feel not wanted. I can't stand it! But thanks again I appreciate you and love your attitude. Have a great day.
Thank you for joining us today for Thankful Thursday on the eve of your surgery. My prayers are with you that everything will go well and your recovery will be speedy. -Happy TT!
Loren, how sweet and thoughtful you are to bestow upon me an award! :) Woo-hee! (Big smiles) :).
Your poor Dear Hubby! Oh that does NOT sound fun, I'm so thankful that God orchestrated things so that you would have some meds to help him out of his pain, and be available to nurse him before he needs to nurse you. Oh dear girl, my goodness! I'll be praying that all goes well with your surgery - blessings my friend!
I am so glad that your DH is much better and pain free. I've been praying for your upcoming surgery and will be right there in spirit tomorrow with you. May God heal you fast, too.
Thank you for the award; I'm honored to be chosen! Congrats to you also.
Hugs,
Mary
Sometimes nothing makes sense when our plans go awry. But when we remain trusting in Him, He knows what's best. So glad that you had that discernment and took the delay with a joyful mood! Praying that your hubby's antibiotics are working in Jesus' Name to attack that infection right away. Praying for you sister Loren. I remember you're having surgery tomorrow. May the Lord be the One to operate on your shoulder. Praying for a smooth postop recovery period and healing in no time.
Congratulations on your award and thank you for sharing them with me. I feel so honored to be mentioned along with other great bloggers for the Lord. Thanks be to God for His love that circulates among us here. To Him be the glory.
God bless, rest, and I'll leave you with Philippians 4:6-7. Love you sister Loren and sending you some [[]]]].
You are awesome. Thank you so much!!!
Your poor man. So thankful you were able to focus on him in his time of need!!! And that you even had the meds to help him sleep. God is good.
Praying for your surgery tomorrow. I hope all goes better than even expected.
Love ya.
