We MADE IT!! We drove a total of 19 hours stopping in Memphis spontaneously and decided to go through Graceland. I was so impressed.....Elvis bought Graceland at age 22 for $100,000 along with 13 acres. The decor is definately the best of what was in the 70's ....green shag carpet from floor to ceiling. They had a TV in the kitchen and 3 TV's in his living area since he was told the President watched all 3 networks at the same time so by golly he would too! What astounded me was the wall of his gold and silver platinum records ONE AFTER THE OTHER lined the hallway! IT.WAS.AMAZING! To say the least. There is also a room of even MORE awards that have come since Elvis died. They have his clothing is glass cases along with the wedding attire worn by Priscilla and Elvis. I loved the sweet pictures of the family scattered about the home. Lisa Marie was just the cutest little girl!
We were also able to see his plane called Lisa Marie which at the time was quite the thing back in the 60's. He had a bedroom, a living area, a bar which if you didn't know Elvis was not a drinker...He liked gatorade, Diet Dr Pepper and some seltzer water but not really big on alcohol.
This is the jungle room you see the wall is a special indoor waterfall, notice the chairs!
This is the living rom in Blue and Yellow. It had the 3 tv's and the funky monkey! What is that??? LOL
This is Elvis' kitchen that Priscilla said was used day and night. Someone was always up and food was always being prepared
Priscilla and Lisa Marie
Entrance just outside the front door
This graveside is right beside his parents and grandmother. Also Elvis had a twin brother who is buried elsewhere but they had a marker to honor him there as well
This is the room I told you about that has awards since his death and trust me this is only a portion....it is unbelievable!
Wedding pic ....the dress and tux are just to the right....my Iphone couldn't get it all in ...darn!
The hallway of Gold and Silver platinum records....There are hundred of awards!
The Infamous Gold Suit
Hope you enjoyed your tour :) My iphone doesn't take the best pics but you get the idea :) Love and Blessings!

Trust in Him at all times. O people; pour out your hearts to HIM, for God is our refuge Psalm 62:8
Whatever you are going through....Pour out your heart to your Father! He longs to Comfort you, to give you Hope, to carry your burden, to wrap you in HIS arms and Love you, to wash over you with a Peace that passes all understanding and soo much more!
Be honest with HIM, lay down your worries, your anxieties, your frustrations and doubts! He is our Refuge! In Psalms 109:21-22 it tells us:
But you, O Sovereign LORD, deal well with me for your name's sake; out of the goodness of your love, deliver me.
For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
and if we ever think that HE doesn't hear us or that HE isn't there than remember this Scripture
Psalm 145:18
The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
He knows our heart! He knows our thoughts! Share them with HIM ~every intimate detail! May you experience your Father in a whole new way this weekend my friends.....HE LOVE YOU and ADORES YOU!

I am so thankful for this time driving because I was able to read the next book that I am going to share with you all here and on my book blog since ~ IT.WAS.THAT.GOOD!
Once in a Blue Moon is the first book that I have read from LeAnna Ellis but I promise it will NOT be the last! This book shares a Romantic Mystery for Brynda Seymour. She lost her mother at the young age of 9 which also happened to be the day Apollo 11 landed on the moon. All these years later Brynn is still trying to find out more about her mother and looks to Howard to help her do just that....what she didn't expect to find was how handsome, and thoughtful among other things his son Sam is! You will enjoy this quirky, fun filled romantic mystery! I found myself thinking about this book throughout the day and could NOT wait to get to finishing it!!! I HIGHLY recommend this and sooo look forward to reading others by this author!
Today....I have the aches, chills, sniffles, did I say aches??? And tomorrow we are suppose to leave to take Jenna to Dallas for a couple of days!!! Mom gave this to her for Christmas so I am praying I will be F-I-N-E in the morning!!!!

Come on....Sing it with me....It's just like ~ It's just like... A mini. Mall. To the left to the right....Ok I'll stop now :)
Isn't She Beautiful! ~ This is Lisa Smith. Some of you may know her and know of her story, but if you don't ~ then let me share with you. She is definately someone you will want to get to know! I found Lisa one day I believe in the very early stages of her finding out she had cancer. I couldn't believe this young, beautiful and very vibrant MOTHER OF 4 had cancer. It seems this word, this haneous disease, is everywhere. I have said it before and will say it numerous times again I HATE CANCER!
Lisa is a woman who is fighting this disease and her insurance company in a way the not only shows a Strong Determined Woman who wants to be Victorious and CANCER FREE but also brings glory and honor to God. She stands everyday in complete Faith of what God is doing and trusts what HE will continue to do! Yes, Lisa is surrounded with Family, friends, church family and all of these will prove to benefit her with each day that passes but Lisa knows her true Strength and Hope lies in her Heavenly Father and His Word is lighting the path in a trail of darkness....
Her story has captured the hearts of many. Her local TV has shared her story on the NEWS....tell me that is not God! She was diagnosed with Sarcoma cancer in her breast. A very rare place for this to appear! She was not satisfied with her options and sought out a 2nd opinion with MD Anderson, who is one of the leading Cancer Treatment Centers! They performed surgery last week and Lisa is at home recovering and waiting to see what her cancer treatment will be, what stage her cancer is in, and what type specifically she is dealing with. The Staff at MD Anderson has rallied around her and her family as well as others in her community (which is also a God thing)
I wanted to share with you her fight not only of Cancer (if we have that shouldn't that be what we should be able to focus our fight on ~ NOT OUR INSURANCE COMPANY!!) but also she is having to battle her insurance company Scott and White. Below you will find a cartoon that explains in detail the battle she is facing. How she did this I will never know but WOW....I am impressed! That is just the way she operates.....what she does, she does well and with class but mostly with honor to the LORD!
Also please take her button, go visit her blog, pray for her, pray for her family, her recovery, her healing! She has a prayer wall on Facebook that is completely full....meaning 24 hours a day 7 days a week someone is lifting up Lisa and her needs to our Father crying out on her behalf! How awesome is that....tell me that isn't why sooo many things are happening for this precious woman of God! But even so, we all need to help.....I don't want to see someone else lose their life to this disease ~ to see any more children lose a parent to cancer!
Ok so I have started a new blog.....Heart of A Bookworm. I will be sharing my book reviews ~ DUH ;) Some will be books that I receive FREE from Publishing companies while others will be just what I enjoy reading on my Kindle. Here is the thing....Publishers will only approve a blog that has "so many" Followers! I would VERY MUCH APPRECIATE if you could jump over there and follow me :) Pretty please....I will beg if necessary LOL I would much rather ask you straight up than beg sooo, Thank you all for helping me out in this!
Click Here and make these Publishing Companies Happy and me too Of course!!! While your there or even here....Tell me the best book you have read lately or one you might recommend reading!
This week we are asking ourselves the question: Are we Rude or Courteous?
Wouldn't it just be wonderful if we could all answer immediately "Why, of course I am Courteous!" In Proverb 12 verse 25 we will see that while "a anxious heart weighs a man down, a kind word will cheer you up!"
To me, if we want to be Courteous we only need to look at the Character of Christ. HE is the perfect Gentleman! He NEVER forces HIMSELF on us, He is Patient ~ don't we love when someone is patient with us! (How courteous is that!) HE IS KIND! HE is FULL of Compassion (can't we all use more compassion!) HE is Tender and full of Understanding! Understanding is HUGE! When we are in a situation that calls for being courteous how many times do we stop and try to Understand where a person is coming from instead of what WE may be wanting to prove, or to do, or even to say? If we could see people and understand them through the EYES of Christ I think our Love Walk would grow more and more every day!
May we be found GUILTY of sharing that Kind Word with others and changing the very mood they were in ~ to a Son-ny one as we are a LIGHT for HIM, walking in Love and being Courteous in every way thinkable!
Went to physical therapy and got yet another progress report....I am progressing ever soooo slowly but STILL, I am progressing! I increased 5 degrees in each motion. I am not yet 50% (of where I should be) in some positions and the most important one I want to be able to do is, be able to reach my arm up to blow dry my hair and/or shampoo it the way it is meant to!
Look at those arms!!! I will be there SOMEDAY!!!!
We did however figure out a new way for me to exercise those back muscles which will help in strengthening them! and EVERY BIT helps right :):)
Jantzen and Jenna find humor in reminding me that they are getting older. Jen will be 18 this year and my baby boy became a teenager last month **sniff sniff** I was sharing with Jantzen that I woke up in the middle of the night in a panic state with the thought of Jenna going off to college (I calmed myself knowing she has another year of highschool) and he began talking about when he leaves (just to ruffle my feathers) .....Love your babies because it goes sooo quickly!!
We were all together this weekend as a family ~ Our oldest daughter came over this weekend to get a haircut and her eyebrows waxed! Casey came along with our granddaughter Rylee ♥ and wanted to let everyone know he is doing much better. He returned to work today and will be getting his stitches out tomorrow. His jaw will be wired shut still for another few weeks. We told him we would all celebrate with a big juicy steak when he can eat again! I love when we are all together like that!
My brother Tony did a commercial tinting job and the lady who owned the business noticed his bracelet that he wears and Tony was able to share John Bucks story and tell her about the FundRaiser this weekend....she wrote him a check for $100 on the spot! Love those moments when you know God is moving in HIS people!
The grieving process is a difficult season and you never know what/how the grief will come on any particular day....Somedays I get by and only miss daddy while others come and I cry so many times throughout the day at random things....The other day I was on the phone with a company and the song that was playing while I was on hold sent me into a tizzy! This season in my life is hard and I know I have really pulled way back from many and for that I apologize....I haven't done any of this on purpose and pray they will understand that this is only a season....
Our doggies are doing great! Maggie (the new boxer) now weighs more than Tyson (the snorky) and is just the sweetest girl! She is doing great on potty training (just don't ask my husband ;) because you might get a different version!)
I will be annoncing a new book tomorrow....I am supposed to be reviewing it but I haven't even received it yet LOL but come over to my book blog and check it out
